‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: Will Melisandre Resurrect Jon Snow?

Game of Thrones Season 6 is only one episode in, but fans are completely freaking about the premiere and all that may come during the remaining nine episodes of the hit HBO series.

According to Hollywood Take, fans were devastated to learn that Jon Snow was actually dead. It was a long wait to find out Jon’s fate, but now that viewers know he’s gone, all they want is someone to revive him. Cue Melisandre. Could the Red Lady bring Jon back to life?

Just when Game of Thrones fans believed they knew all there was to know about Melisandre, the final scene of the Season 6 premiere proved otherwise. As the Red Lady takes off her red necklace, it’s revealed that she is old — extremely old. What does this mean for the character? Does she know more magic than she’s revealed? Can she bring Jon Snow back to life?

Fans are certainly hoping that someone, anyone, can bring Jon back. Melisandre revealed in the premiere that she had seen a vision of Jon in the flames and that he was fighting in Winterfell. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, spoilers have suggested that Jon Snow will be back in Winterfell with Sansa Stark at his side before Season 6 ends. Hopefully, Melisandre’s vision was foreshadowing Jon’s return to his home.

Meanwhile, many Game of Thrones fans are predicting that Jon Snow will be back in Season 6 and that viewers will finally get a peek into the story of his parentage. As many book readers know, there is a big theory about who Jon’s real parents are. While he’s always been known as Ned Stark’s illegitimate son, there are clues that Jon could actually be the son of Ned’s sister, Lyanna Stark, and Rhaegar Targaryen, which would give Jon a serious claim to the Iron Throne.

For those who don’t know, Rhaegar Targaryen was the son of the Mad King and the brother of fan-favorite character Daenerys Targaryen. Lyanna, who was engaged to Robert Baratheon, was allegedly abducted by, or possibly ran away with, Rhaegar, which started Robert’s rebellion against the throne, essentially making him king. If this theory about Jon Snow’s parents being Lyanna and Rhaegar is true, then Game of Thrones fans are in for a wild ride as the episodes continue toward the end of the series.

While Game of Thrones Season 6 will likely see the return of Jon Snow, there will be a lot of other storylines to look forward to as well. Predictions for the season have Cersei and Jaime Lannister squaring off against the High Sparrow. The two will struggle to protect their last living child, Tommen, as things get even crazier in King’s Landing.

The Night’s Watch may be in trouble as well. The Wildlings will get wind of Jon Snow’s murder and may want to avenge his death by killing the men of the watch. If not the entire group, then at least Alliser Thorne, who led the plan to kill Jon, his Lord Commander.

No matter what happens during Season 6 of Game of Thrones, one thing is for sure: viewers want Jon Snow back. Whether Melisandre brings him back or someone else using the powers of the Lord of Light can do it, fans want the character to return as soon as possible to carry out his destiny and return to his remaining family members, Sansa, Arya, Bran, and Rickon. Will the Stark’s ever be together again? Only time will tell.
