Andrew Tarusov Gives ‘Game Of Thrones’ Women The Sexy Vintage Pin-Up Model Treatment

Last year, comic artist Andrew Tarusov made waves in both the art communities and the Disney fandom communities when he gave the Disney Princesses a “sexy makeover.” In his vision of them, Tarusov turned the likes of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel from Tangled, and Anna and Elsa from Frozen into sexy, vintage pin-up models. Eventually, Tarusov would make heads turn yet again when he gave the same treatment to the female characters of the Star Wars franchise, which included Rey.

Transforming iconic female characters into sexy, vintage pin-up models eventually opened the door for Andrew Tarusov to venture into other faucets of comic animation which includes giving the Tim Burton treatment to classic Disney scenes. It also gave him the exposure to sell prints and even reach out to the public to crowdfund his projects through Patreon.

Nevertheless, there is another set of sexy, vintage pin-up models that Andrew Tarusov created that is getting attention yet again. Once again, people are taking a second artistic trip to the fictional continent of Westeros in which Tarusov takes the women from Game of Thrones and gives them the sexy, vintage pin-up model treatment too.

The Game of Thrones pin-up pictures were all part of Andrew Tarusov’s art project released with the airing of the fifth season of the television series. Tarusov is revisiting his Game of Thrones pin-ups again as a celebration of the release of the sixth season. As detailed on his official website, Tarusov created pin-up model versions of Arya Stark, Brienne of Tarth, Cersei Lannister, Daenarys Targaryen, Doreah, Ellaria Sand, Gilly, Karsi, Margaery Tyrell, Melisandre, Missandei, Myranda, Ros, Sansa Stark, Shae, Tyene Sand, Walda Bolton, and Ygritte.

What is unique about Andrew Tarusov aiming to give the women of the Game of Thrones television series (and A Song of Ice and Fire epic novel series by George R.R. Martin) the sexy, vintage pin-up look is that by doing so, he is probably “taming” them. Any fan of the television or book series knows the stories that Martin writes push the boundaries of a restricted rating. Besides all the graphic violence, which includes beheading, impaling, and the like, there is a healthy amount of full-frontal nudity, often complimented with graphic sex. In TV Series actually reports that Tarusov’s pin-up versions of the women of Westeros actually makes them “more sexy” probably because their poses show decorum in association to their characters and personality.

Despite what personal opinions people may have about Andrew Tarusov’s art, it is often agreed his sexy, vintage pin-up model versions not just of Game of Thrones women, but the female characters from any well-known franchise, are stunning. At times, he gets even more gratitude from his fans especially when he creates NSFW versions of his art too.
