More pushback on President Obama’s controversial comments last month that “If you’ve got a business – you didn’t build that.” These remarks were seen by many as an example of the president’s ideological disdain for the free-enterprise system, entrepreneurship, and individual initiative, all of which leads to job creation.

As The Inquisitr reported earlier today, Iowa caterer Ross Murty wore a “Government Didn’t Build My Business, I DID” t-shirt to an Obama campaign rally.

Now the owner of a small Virginia bakery called “Crumb and Get It” has declined a visit from Vice President Joe Biden and cited Obama administration policies regarding small business as the reason.

Chris McMurray runs the mom-and-pop bakery with his wife Kelly in Radford, Virgina and respectfully asked the Biden advance team to find another venue for the photo op. McMurray explained his reasoning for Roanoke’s WDBJ, Channel 7:

“Very simply, ‘you didn’t build that’” McMurray said. “Speaking of small businesses and entrepreneurs all across this country and actually last night my wife was up all night. No sleep, she’s worked a full 24 hours.”

In short, McMurray believes that when it comes to “Crumb and Get It,” he and his wife did build that.

For Biden, who is having a rough week anyway, that’s the way the cookie crumbles. Biden evidently visited the River City Grill around the corner, however.

McMurray added that he apparently has some secret fans. A detail of Secret Service agents showed up at the bakery and thanked him for just saying no; the agents then bought some cupcakes and cookies.
