For the sports nut who has everything: garbage bin stickers with club logos

As if there weren’t enough ways to shout to the world your sporting allegiance, now you can whack a sticker on your trash can in club colours.

The Australian National Rugby League has released 16 giant stickers shaped to fit wheelie bins, which is what Australians use to store their garbage, with team colours, logo and club name from the 16 NRL teams.

One has to question the wisdom of associating the NRL brand with smelly, biodegradable garbage. Then again, perhaps if these had been available to the likes of Roosters coach Brad Fittler and player Nate Myles, who have both gotten so drunk during the 2009 NRL season that they have urinated and defecated (respectively) in corridors of hotel complexes, all the unpleasantness could have been avoided.

League stars will also have somewhere to put their contracts when they follow Sonny Bill Williams and the rest of the traitors who have deserted the code for European rugby union.
