Kandi Burruss Denies Risking Her Son’s Life By Taking Drugs During Breastfeeding

Kandi Burruss announced that she was pregnant during The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and her co-stars were thrilled for her. Kandi shared her pregnancy journey on the show, and she revealed that she was having a boy. Burruss gave birth a few months after she wrapped the show, and she’s now the proud mother of a young son, Ace. After giving birth to Ace, Kandi decided to go on a strict diet where she cut out certain items, and she was able to show off an amazing post-baby body. But then Burruss learned that her name and image was being used to falsely advertise diet pills.

According to a new Bravo report, Kandi Burruss is now revealing that she’s never used diet pills to shed the baby weight after giving birth to Ace. Burruss’ name and image were supposedly used to market a diet pill, and she doesn’t want her Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers to think that this is how she lost the baby weight. Kandi reveals that she would never jeopardize her child’s health because she wanted to lose some pounds. Since Kandi is breastfeeding, the pills would possibly go through her breast milk and end up in her son’s food.

Instead, Kandi Burruss reveals that she gave up sugary foods like sweets, desserts, sodas, and juice throughout January. Plus, one can imagine she took some long walks and took care of her body during her first few weeks as a mother. While Kandi never saw the ad, she felt she had to set the record straight.

“It’s crazy how people can just use your name for false advertisement. A few people asked me about a diet pill that they saw was advertised that had my name as a user. I have not used any diet pill to lose weight after my pregnancy. I’m still breastfeeding. I supplement with formula but I still breastfeed & there is no way I would take some Weight Loss drug when it could affect my child. I’m only addressing this because I don’t want any other #breastfeeding mom to try it thinking it’s ok because they think I did it. Just to be clear if I try any Weight loss stuff in the future I will post it for you. If you don’t see it come from me then don’t believe the hype!” Kandi Burruss revealed on Instagram, sharing that she’s never seen the pictures or advertisements herself but that friends had noticed the ads.

These days, Kandi is probably trying to shed the last few pounds after giving birth to Ace. In addition, she has been working on her family restaurant, something that she wanted to pursue for a long time. She got her husband, Todd Tucker, on the team to launch a family-style restaurant, and he’s been working hard to make it possible.

During The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kandi Burruss decided to stand up for Kenya Moore during the reunion. She felt that many of her co-stars were just using Kenya as a scapegoat rather than taking responsibility for their actions. Burruss felt that Kenya had received enough criticism from their co-stars.

“I was sticking up for what’s right. People try to make Kenya wrong in every situation just because they don’t like her. It’s not OK for a man to physically attack a woman, and they can’t make it OK just because it’s Kenya,” Kandi Burruss revealed to Bravo after the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion special.

What do you think of Kandi Burruss’ image being used to falsely advertise a diet pill? Do you think she should take legal action against the company that’s falsely using her image?
