Anne Hathaway Opens Up About Raffaello (Who Is Jail-Bound)

Sometimes bad things happen to good people, but at least Anne Hathaway’s got a support system. According to her recent interview with W, she’s taking the whole my-ex-boyfriend-isnt-exactly-what-I-expected thing in stride. She had better keep that up, because Raffaello Follieri was sentenced to four years in prison for conspiracy, money laundering, and wire fraud today.

From W:

“I have to find a place to live. […] It’s a situation where the rug was pulled out from under me all of a sudden. But just as suddenly, my friends threw another rug back under me. One said, ‘Go stay at my house.’ And Steve Carell [her Get Smart costar] stepped up for me during an interview when someone asked a question [about it]. He said, ‘At some point you’re going to have to talk about this time in your life. You don’t have to do it this week. I’ll take care of anything that comes your way.'”

The questions are far from over, given today’s nasty turn. Good thing Anne’s stepping out of the spotlight a bit as a production assistant for a Bob Marley biopic– she’ll need a break now.
