Twitter flaunts Twitter101 as the start of biz plan


If there is one thing that has been a constant during the whole period that Twitter has been around is the slapping around it has taken for not having some kind of business plan. After all we are heading into fourth year that Twitter has been teasing all of us in the tech blogosphere over whether it was actually going to make money one day. It would seem though, if Biz Stone’s statements at a conference today that we may have to find some other point to start picking on the service about.

Now while I wouldn’t suggest that providing all kinds of case studies and best practices of Twitter as a money maker but Biz would have us believe I guess that this is the start of their money making.

Twitter 101, A Special Guide is a suite of web pages that explain our findings. There is also a downloadable slideshow available as a PDF that’s more of an overview which folks can use to give presentations within larger organizations to teach others about Twitter. We’re focused on enhancing value across Twitter in general—these documents are just a first step.

All this was apparently done with the help of business students and writers which typically means the free sport of help. The pages include information on: best practices, steps for getting started and case studies.

I can just imagine the big sigh of relieve going throughout the offices of the VC’s who are paying all the bills right now. Yup … Twitter is on the road folks and the money is going to start rolling in any day now.
