Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance To Release February 19, 2013
On Wednesday, attendees of Gamescom 2012 were given the first news of the release date for the upcoming action video game, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Based on the information in the game trailer that premiered at Gamescom, Raiden and his friends will be back to continue their mayhem on February 19, 2013 in North America and on February 21, 2013 for Europe and Japan. The game will be available on PS3 and Xbox 360
Not to be outdone by all the big announcements and spectacular trailers released earlier this years at E3, developer Platinum Games pulled out all the stops yesterday with an amazing new trailer for the next installment in the Metal Gear franchise. Updating the information Platinum gave fans at E3, the audience was shown an absolutely amazing new trailer. All this reviewer can say is WOW.
In the new trailer, we are treated to game-play footage showing Raiden in all his glory. Slicing a helicopter into tiny bits, mid-flight. Cutting through a thick column to chop an unsuspecting robot in half. Demolishing tanks, trucks, and tall towers with ease. Ever the modern day samurai, we see luscious scenes of Raiden calmly flinging the blood and gore from his blade before he moves on to slaughter his next enemy.
And then, there is LQ84I: the deadly, dog robot with the chainsaw tail, who is revealed as Raiden’s newest foe. First we hear the eerie voice of the robot saying, “Greetings cyborg,” as the tail whips past Raiden’s head. Dodging the deadly weapon, Raiden demands of his opponent, “What the h*ll are you?” The cold blooded response, “I am IF prototype LQ84I.” After Raiden asks “Why are you here,” the robot replies in a voice like ice, “I am here to kill you.”
And with that we are introduced to Raiden’s new opponent, LQ84I, on a single minded mission to destroy our hero. Watch the entire trailer for yourself and enjoy every incredible second. Be sure to pick up your own copy of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance when it comes out in February and join Raiden as he tries to “MAKE IT RIGHT.”
