Michael J. Fox has appeared on shows like Scrubs, The Good Wife, and Rescue Me during the last decade but he hasn’t starred in his own show since he left Spin City in 2001. But that could change in 2013. The Back To The Future actor is reportedly shopping around a new sitcom that could put Fox back on TV.

The Hollywood Reporter notes that Fox teamed up with Director Will Gluck (Easy A) and writer Sam Laybourne (Arrested Development) to create the new show. The untitled project will be a single camera show and is supposedly based on Fox’s real-life. Details about the actual plot are scarce, but, if the show is really going to star Michel J. Fox and if it’s really being written by Sam Laybourne, it’s safe to say that it will be pretty good.

Hollywood.com reports that four major studios are interested in buying Fox’s new project. A bidding war has apparently started to see who will be able to broadcast the show in 2013 or 2014.

Michael J. Fox became a household name in the 1980s when he starred as Alex P. Keaton on Family Ties. He went on to star in hit movies like Back To The Future (1,2, and 3), Teen Wolf, and Life With Mikey. In 2001, Fox left the acting world after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Fox did some voice work and eventually started to return to TV in small roles. He then started grabbing multiple episode parts and is now ready to make a full-time return to TV.
