Selena Gomez Sizzles In Revival Tour Preview Photos: How Lupus, Taylor Swift, & Justin Bieber Made Her Stronger

Selena Gomez is ready to bring the heat to her Revival Tour. And just in case there are any doubters out there following her music videos, performances, and Instagram evidence, Selena is proving just how scorching she’s become with new photos that bring on the glamour and glitter, noted People.

Those music videos have shown that Gomez has the talent, but now she’s taking it to the next level for her tour by adding choreography, fashion, and that touch of something extra that turns a singer into a superstar. Planned to begin May 6 in Las Vegas, the tour includes some extra-hot style, as shown in the sneak peeks from her glam sessions.

In addition, for those who want to have something Selena-esque for themselves, bring on the tattoos. They’re temporary, and Gomez has seven designs for fans to buy.

As for fashion, short shorts are sexy, but a long gown brings it on. Selena shows her grown-up style in this dress that indicates she’s an adult with sassy style.

While Gomez prepares for her Revival tour, she’s also opening up about her life, from the health challenges she’s overcome to how she feels about her famous former boyfriend, Justin Bieber.

One serious battle that Gomez faced: lupus. Although rumors swirled that Selena had gone to rehab for substance abuse, she revealed to GQ that she took time off from her career after she learned that she had the autoimmune disease called lupus.

Gomez went to a rehab treatment center in Arizona, Meadows, for chemotherapy to help with her lupus, not help with alcohol or drug problems as had been rumored.

And although Selena prefers not to dwell on her condition, she does emphasize that through her challenges, she’s learned the importance of patience. Her ultimate goal, added Gomez, is to get the world to focus on her talent rather than her personal life.

“I just have to be patient and make great things with quality, from producing to singing to acting. And one by one, I will be able to change the dialogue and people won’t care about everything that’s happened to me.”

Despite that goal, Selena does understand that answering questions about her ex boyfriend Bieber has become inevitable, she admitted to InStyle. But that doesn’t mean she has to like answering those constant queries.

“I’m just tired of talking about it,” confessed Gomez. “I never intended for my life to become a tabloid story.”

What’s helped Selena to get stronger? Her best friend Taylor Swift, who showed her the way to overcome everything from her heartbreak over the Biebs to protecting her personal life despite the constant media scrutiny.

“People have this fantasy that [Taylor and I are] in our underwear, having pillow fights,” joked Gomez. “We just play good music – sometimes live – and eat, and hang out.”

And while they hang out, Swift helps her friend understand how to take the past and transform it.

“I’ll be like, ‘I think I totally screwed up,’ but Taylor says, ‘Actually, you didn’t’ and shows me how to make my mistakes into something great.”

After going through lupus, substance abuse rumors, and her heartbreak over Justin, Selena revealed just how much stronger she has become. When she was body-shamed for her weight, Gomez experienced a new ability to ignore the haters and focus on herself.

“It hurt my feelings because I never experienced that before, but I didn’t want [that] to be the story, so I said, ‘I don’t care what you think!’ I’m learning that you can be comfortable and still look beautiful,” emphasized Selena.
