V-Screen To Bring 3D Worlds To PSP

There seems to be plenty of 3D products popping up on the map lately. Yesterday I reported on the Fujifilm Finepix 3D Digital Camera and today the V-Screen has been announced, a new 3D enabling device for use with the PSP gaming system from Sony.

While RealView Innovations Limited, the makers of V-Screen, are refusing to announce the exact specs and technologies used for their new technology, they were more than willing to leak a photo of the unit to Ars Technica and it looks pretty well streamlined for portable use.

What we do know about the technology is readily available from the companies own press release from Optical Engineer Aemonn Ansbro:

“The innovation uses special optical components in unconventional ways…No software, electronics or headgear is required. Nonetheless, the optical results are astonishing…The video game industry is a perfect fit for our technology. The V-Screen offers consumers a tremendous leap forward in optical enhancement.”

More information has been promised in September, which we hope means the company is gearing up for a release by this coming holiday season.
