Drake Previewing ‘Views From The 6’ On OVO Sound Radio? ‘Special Details’ To Be Announced Monday

Drake may be only six days away from releasing his Views From The 6 album, but it appears that the “One Dance” rapper may be planning to reveal some new details about the highly anticipated record before its April 29 drop date next week.

Rumors of a potential Views preview from Drake began yesterday after the official Twitter account for October’s Very Own posted a message regarding a delay for the 20th episode of OVO Sound Radio, which regularly airs on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio every other Saturday.

“THIS WEEK’S EPISODE OF OVOSOUND RADIO HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED,” the tweet revealed before adding, “STAY TUNED FOR SPECIAL DETAILS ON MONDAY #VIEWS.”

While it’s unclear whether or not the rescheduled episode of OVO Sound Radio will actually air on Monday, it looks like fans can expect Drake to make an announcement regarding “special details” concerning Views From The 6‘s impending release.

According to the Source, it’s possible that Drake may debut the official artwork and tracklist for his upcoming album on Monday, seeing as the rapper previously told fans via OVO Sound Radio in January that he would be revealing more details about the album closer to its scheduled release. In addition, the site also notes that Drake may be gearing up for a big announcement regarding OVO Fest 2016, which Drake usually confirms within the first quarter of the year.

While it’s unclear whether or not Drake will actually preview any new music off of Views before its Friday release, some fans suggest that the radio segment will likely air on Thursday evening in preparation for the midnight release of the album on April 29. Given Drake’s history of debuting new music via the bi-weekly radio program, including his first three Views‘ singles, “One Dance,” “Pop Style,” and “Summer Sixteen,” it’s possible that Drake has something special in store for fans regarding Views‘ impending release.

The news comes just days after rumors surfaced suggesting that Drake’s Views From The 6 will be a double-disc album after the rapper took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of his Room for Improvement and Comeback Season records earlier this week, leading some fans to suggest that Drake may be dropping major hints about what to expect from Views‘ release on Friday.

In addition, fans also pointed out that one of Drake’s cryptic Views-related billboards seemingly hint at a double-disc release for the album — Drake unveiled several black-and-white themed billboards in Toronto during All Star Weekend in February to tease the upcoming release of his new album, including one notable ad that reads, “Four Plus Two Equals 6.”

While the billboard was initially thought to have hinted at Views‘ drop date prior to its official release announcement, fans now believe that the “four” in the billboard represents the month of April, while “2” may be hinting at a possible double-disc release for the album. With Drake having promised fans that there would be “a lot of music” on Views during his previous OVO Sound Radio hosting segment, it seems that the double-disc rumors for Drake’s upcoming record are a strong possibility.

Views From The 6 will be available exclusively on Apple Music for the first week following its April 29 release, before being made available to other outlets.
