Victoria Beckham Not Interested In A Spice Girls Reunion Anytime Soon
Apparently dreams still do die in the 90s. When the Spice Girls got out of their bejeweled cars to sing at the London Olympics closing ceremonies and shimmied to the left, the women spoke about the rumors of their inevitable reunion tour. However, there’s one Spice Girl that isn’t on board with it, and, that’s, arguably, the most famous spice of them all — Posh Spice.
Known as Victoria Beckham these days, Posh was the hold out for the Spice Girls reuniting at the Olympic closing ceremonies. So odds that a Spice Girls reunion tour is on the way are very low. According to RadarOnline.com, even if Victoria was game for the reunion, she may be unable to attend because of her prior commitments.
However, that hasn’t stopped her band mates from going on a Spice Girls crusade. According to a source close to the Spice Girls:
“Mel B is spearheading the crusade for the band to do a reunion tour as they had a total blast performing at the Closing Ceremony. Geri Halliwell, Mel C and Emma Bunton are all on board, but, of course, the lone holdout is Victoria.”
The source continued to say that Victoria might just be too busy being Mrs. Beckham:
“Vicky says she just has way too much on her plate right now with her fashion label and so busy being a mother to four young children, and wife to David and it just doesn’t seem like she wants any part of a reunion tour.”
Perhaps the Spice Girls will reunite without Posh. The remaining four girls were ready to perform without Victoria at the closing ceremonies when she was having difficult accepting the gig but then had a change of heart.
“Mel B thinks the perfect time to do a reunion tour would be around the time the Spice Girls musical premieres in London on December 16 and wouldn’t need to be a full scale world tour that would last for months, rather they could perform in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, London and other big cities to promote the musical. The ladies are ready to perform with or without Posh Spice.”
