Kim Fields Not Done With ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ — Hints At Possible Season 9 Return After Claiming To Be Done With The Bravo Show

Kim Fields made it pretty clear after the Season 8 finale of Real Housewives of Atlanta that she had no plans to come back. Now, the actress turned reality star may have changed her mind. Recent comments that Fields has made about RHOA has fans thinking that she might be considering a Season 9 return.

Fans were shocked when Kim went on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show after the Season 8 finale of Real Housewives of Atlanta aired and said she wasn’t coming back. “It feels more like Brett Favre and the Jets, you know — I’m done,” Fields said, talking about her single season on RHOA. “I think about too, at the beginning of the season, what did my mama say? ‘Get in and get out.’ Listen to your mama.”

Fields’ story changed in a recent interview with Hello Beautiful. Instead of sticking to her original story about not coming back to the Bravo reality TV show, it sounds like Kim might actually be considering a return to Season 9. When asked about quitting RHOA, Kim said, “No decisions have been made about RHOA, as I am focusing on my dancing adventure.” Kim followed that up by explaining, “When designing a career, as I have been doing for the last 40 years, there are many factors involved.”

Even though it was Kim Fields first season on Real Housewives of Atlanta, the experience proved to be very explosive for the Facts of Life star. Kim had a pretty intense feud with Kenya Moore, who went over and above when trying to get her new co-star to lose her cool. After Kim claimed not to be returning to RHOA, it was widely believed that her decision to quit the Bravo show stemmed exclusively from her hatred for Kenya.

Kim also was upset about gay rumors that Kenya and others spread during Season 8 of Real Housewives of Atlanta. Near the end of the season and then spilling over into the reunion show, the women of RHOA continued to argue about who started the chatter about Christopher Morgan. It didn’t make things any better when Kim Fields’ husband stood up for himself and confronted Kenya Moore and the rest of the group. He asked Kenya specifically who in the industry called him names and claimed that he was gay. Not surprising, Kenya wasn’t able to name any names.

Fields made it clear that her decision about whether or not to return to Real Housewives of Atlanta will have everything to do with what’s best for her family and her career. “When designing a career, as I have been doing for the last 40 years, there are many factors involved,” Kim explained. “Any and all decisions made about my career are based on those factors, period.”

It looks like Fields won’t let the drama on RHOA affect her decision to return to the Bravo show. Instead, it will probably have more to do with how much of a pay raise she gets for doing Season 9 and whether or not her family is still invited on all the trips. When Kim initially said she didn’t want to come back to the show, she was still upset about the epic feud with Kenya Moore as well as the gay rumors about her husband, Christopher Morgan. Now that she’s had some time to calm down and count her paychecks, maybe Kim sees that a little Real Housewives of Atlanta drama goes a long way when it comes to spending money and leaving the show isn’t the best idea for her career right now. As she said herself, though, no decisions about Season 9 of RHOA will be made until after she is finished with Dancing With The Stars.
