Vicki Gunvalson In Court To Fight Lawsuit: Brooks Ayers Involved?

Vicki Gunvalson is recovering from a tough year in the spotlight, as Real Housewives of Orange County fans questioned her in regards to the Brooks Ayers cancer scandal. Brooks was caught lying about his medical records in his efforts to prove that he has cancer. Many people questioned him and many didn’t believe that he had cancer at all. But because Gunvalson had been such a big supporter of his, many felt that Vicki may have known that he was faking his illness. These days, Vicki has moved on from Brooks emotionally, but his name keeps coming up in business matters.

According to a new Radar Online report, Vicki Gunvalson is still caught in the vodka lawsuit, where she’s being sued over the failure of the brand. And when she was starting this brand, she was still dating Brooks. Apparently, Vicki is back in court to fight the lawsuit, which was filed by her former business partner, Robert Williamson. She claims that she never got the $132,000 judgment that she won in a bitter lawsuit. This is because Williamson has filed for personal bankruptcy.

Vicki Gunvalson is under the impression that Robert filed for this personal bankruptcy so he doesn’t have to pay her what she’s owed. In the original lawsuit, Brooks Ayers was also mentioned because Vicki supposedly sold him parts of the company without Robert knowing about it. His argument is that Gunvalson and Brooks owe him $250,000, because the brand didn’t become as successful as expected. He believes it’s because Gunvalson didn’t really market it to the Real Housewives of Orange County fans.

This lawsuit has been going on for quite some time, and in 2015 a judge sided with Brooks, saying that there was no proof that Brooks had tried to commit fraud. He was awarded a total of $132,641 in attorney fees from Williamson. Soon after, Ayers filed documents that stated he was transferring the rights of the judgment to Gunvalson. Sadly, Vicki was never paid what she was owed, and now she’s in court to get her money. She believes that Williamson is lying about his income so he doesn’t have to pay her.

“This is based on purported gross monthly income from ‘self-employment’ of $10,000.00,” the documents state according to Radar Online.

“This income (from playing poker and serving as a television commentator) is speculative and inexact at best, and dishonest at worst. The Debtor admits that his income for calendar year 2015 was $154,000 and for 2014 was $537,885. He also claims his monthly expenses include mortgage payments of more than $5,500 and his wife’s plan payment of $1,750.00. Finally, the Debtor claims he has no non-exempt assets. This is simply not credible, given that as recently as 2014, he earned $537,885.”

Vicki Gunvalson believes that Robert is lying about how much he’s worth. Apparently, his assets and his earnings change drastically each year and she wants the courts to get involved. Vicki believes that her former business partner could be lying to protect the assets he has.

“Upon information and belief, the Debtor has won a bracelet in the World Series of Poker that is not entitled to be claimed as exempt and that is likely worth far more than the $700 asserted, and the Debtor’s wedding band is likely worth more than the amount asserted,” the documents state, adding, “Ms. Gunvalson also believes the Debtor’s other jewelry is worth significantly more than the listed amounts.”

Since leaving the show behind, Gunvalson has gone on a few dates. She was briefly linked to a man who had a violent past, but she never really spoke out about the relationship. In addition, Vicki is still facing a backlash from The Real Housewives of Orange County drama from last year.

Do you think Vicki Gunvalson should get the money that she’s entitled to? Are you surprised that this lawsuit continues?
