Luann de Lesseps Calls Out John’s Bad Behavior: ‘John Was Being Disrespectful’

Luann de Lesseps watched Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York this week and she was shocked at the way Dorinda Medley’s bra party was unfolding. This party was also held on Bethenny Frankel’s birthday, so it was surprising to see the whole event spiral out of control so fast. Luann didn’t attend the bra party, so she watched the scene unfold as many Real Housewives of New York viewers did, and she felt that John was being completely disrespectful.

According to a new Bravo report, Luann de Lesseps is now revealing that she feels bad for Dorinda for being caught in the middle of the mess that played out. de Lesseps feels that John was being very disrespectful, especially since this was his girlfriend’s party and she was trying to do something nice for the ladies.

“Poor Dorinda, she’s caught in the middle between her girlfriends and her boyfriend. Why should she have to choose one over the other? John was being disrespectful to Dorinda when he barged into her lingerie party, tipsy and uninvited. When he and Bethenny got into it, you could see his aggressive side. Dorinda was right to get him out of there as quickly as possible,” Luann de Lesseps writes in her blog, sharing that she does think Medley did the right thing in getting him out of the party.

Of course, the ladies at the party already had a bad taste in their mouths in regards to John, as they had just heard the story about the Viagra. It wasn’t exactly a good look for him, so when he walked into the party under the influence and with a smirk on his face, viewers were reminded of how he was probably thinking about the night to come.

And one can imagine that Dorinda doesn’t want to talk about her private life on a national television show, and she did seem rather shocked when she learned about the things that John had supposedly said to her. But Luann de Lesseps understands why she keeps defending him, and Luann may understand her situation. de Lesseps herself has dated guys in the past who she has loved.

“Dorinda loves John, and to be friends with her, we have to be kind to him. I was impressed with Dorinda’s composure as she confronted Ramona (tag-teaming with Bethenny) at the restaurant. She held her head up, eventually looked Ramona in the eye and shared how hurt she was by Ramona’s comments at the party. Ramona’s first apology at the lingerie party was robotic, but her second one at the restaurant was a little better. Also, Dorinda was very gracious to apologize to Bethenny on John’s behalf. I think Ramona and Dorinda will get past this but as Dorinda said, once the mirror is broken, you can look in it but it’s never the same,” Luann de Lesseps reveals in her blog.

It’s very interesting that the ladies are questioning John on The Real Housewives of New York, as he’s making headlines on Radar Online for discriminating against his female employees. While Luann de Lesseps hasn’t said much about his behavior, one can imagine she wouldn’t be happy if her boyfriend acted that way. de Lesseps has respect for her co-star and her relationship, but one can imagine that Luann doesn’t want to hang around that crowd. These days, Luann de Lesseps is engaged to be married to a new man she recently met and she seems happier than she’s been in years. Maybe she will have a Real Housewives of New York wedding next season.
