Come on down! The Price Is Right is starting a search for the show’s first male model.

For nearly 40 years the model jobs on The Price is Right have always gone to beautiful women. But that’s all going to change this year. The show is hosting a contest to find it’s first male model.

An open casting call will be held on August 30th for any eligible male model over the age of 18.

A group of semi-finalist will then move on to star in a special five-episode web series on Youtube. The web series, which sounds similar to a Project Runway type of show, will air this September. The show’s producers, as well as the regular female models, will judge the contestants on ”qualities such as their verbal skills, posing and ability to properly showcase a product.”

But the ultimate decision for who gets to be The Price Is Right’s first male model belongs to the viewers.

The show writes on its website:

“It all starts Thursday, August 30, 2012, when Men 18 and over are invited to an open call at CBS2 in Studio City, from 10am-2pm.  Eligible participants must be male, able to work in the United States, and over the age of 18.  Semi-Finalists must be available to take part in a 5 part web series taping in Los Angeles on September 4 & 5, 2012.  Winner must be available to work in Los Angeles on October 8-10, 2012.  (Prize is valued at $2,410.)  (If you want to be one of the male models you can fill out a form here.)

Fans of the show (or fans of male models) will be able to vote online at Priceisright.com. The winner will be seen on The Price is Right for five-episodes airing on the week of October 15th.
