Zayn Malik Reconciles With One Direction’s Harry Styles, Collaborates With Liam Payne On New Song?
Former One Direction member Zayn Malik is reportedly ready to reconcile with bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payn, and Louis Tomlinson. A new report claimed that the “Pillowtalk” singer is even using girlfriend Gigi Hadid to patch things up with the guys.
According to New! magazine, via Unreality TV, Zayn is more than willing to put the past behind. The publication reported that the One Direction alum wanted to make things right beginning with Harry. Upon hearing that her boyfriend wanted to talk to Harry, Gigi allegedly suggested doing a double date with pal Kendall Jenner as soon as possible.
“Zayn has told Gigi that he wants to mend fences with Harry. Also, Gigi wants the four of them to double date.”
While it has been almost a year since Zayn Malik decided to leave One Direction and pursue a solo career, it seems like the majority of his former bandmates have not forgiven him. According to Entertainment Weekly, Liam Payne is the only one who got in touch with Zayn after he released his first single, “Pillowtalk.”
“I’m still probably the closest to Liam. We talk on the phone. He congratulated me on my single, which was nice. I congratulated him on his BRIT Award. It was a good chat. We haven’t met up in a long time so we want to meet up.”
In a previous interview with Fader magazine, Malik hinted that a collaboration with Payne is not far from impossible. While he was definitely confused at first, Malik shared that Payne eventually understood why he had to leave One Direction. Back in November, Payne expressed interest in doing something, perhaps a single, with Malik.
“He wants to do some music and work on some stuff aside from being in the band, which we always wanted to do anyway,” Zayn shared.
While we have yet to hear anything about the possible collab between Zayn and Liam, Unreality TV reported that the two were spotted hanging out in Los Angeles last February by a fan. According to Arie Winston, his girlfriend, who is a huge Directioner, freaked out after seeing Zayn and Liam together. Unfortunately, the couple was unable to snap a photo of the Zayn and Liam to the disappointment of One Direction fans.
Since things are definitely going well between Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, an insider claimed that the former One Direction member is now trying to get back on Harry Styles’ good side. Turns out, after publicly dissing his 1D band mates on several interviews, Zayn is ready to make amends.
Unfortunately, winning Harry back will cost Zayn more than a double date with Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. Hollywood Life previously reported that Harry felt “betrayed” after reading Zayn’s recent interviews. Harry also felt upset that Zayn failed to realize that he owed his career to the band, thinking that he could at least be a bit more grateful to One Direction.
“Harry thinks all his interviews are just to make him look like he’s somehow cooler and edgier than everyone else in 1D,” the source said.
An insider close to Zayn also claimed that he always felt inferior to Harry, which pushed him to leave One Direction. It was said that he simply grew tired of always “playing second fiddle” to Harry. Harry, on the other hand, reportedly could not care less about status and just enjoyed making music with the rest of the band.
“Harry never wanted to compete with Zayn, none of the guys wanted to compete with anyone. But Zayn was always really competitive and Harry just brushed it off as low self-esteem. Nevertheless he was always a loyal friend to Zayn.”
