The home of the late Steve Jobs was burglarized last month.

According to San Jose Mercury News, more than $60,000 in computers and personal items were taken from the Apple Founder’s home in Palo Alto.

The burglary occurred on July 17th, according to ABC, and a few days later police arrested 35-year-old Kariem McFarlin.  McFarlin has been charged with residential burglary and selling stolen property. He is currently in jail on $500,000 bond. His court date has been set for Aug. 20.

McFarlin could face up to seven years and eight months in prison for robbing the home of Steve Jobs. Details about the crime, including what computers and personal belongings were stolen, were scarce on Monday morning. Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Tom Flattery said that McFarlin probably didn’t know that he was robbing Steve Jobs’ home at the time of the crime.

Flattery said: ”The best we can tell is it was totally random.”

Jobs passed away last year at the age of 56. Personal belongings from the founder of Apple, as well as computers and prototypes from the company’s beginnings, have fetched incredibly high sums at various auctions since Jobs death. It’s unclear if McFarlin got his hands on anything truly valuable. Of if he knew what it was when he stole it.
