You Don’t Need Statistics To Prove Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Is A Hit

Samsung has done it. They have created their biggest hit phone in years with the Galaxy S7 Edge. Before even looking at statistics, all one has to do is go to different coffee house locations or even the gym and see many people with the S7 Edge.

The author of this article has been on several sets of television shows this past month and has seen at least 20 production people with the Galaxy S7 Edge (but not the regular S7). You may say that 20 isn’t a lot. However, if you consider the phone has been on sale a little over a month and people who want Android phones have at least 15 flagship models to choose from, the number is great.

Furthermore, if you actually own a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and aren’t convinced the smartphone is a huge hit, travel on public transportation and take your phone out. You will notice people looking your way and it’s likely they will find the new phone you are holding more attractive than yourself. You will surely get at least one person on each ride asking you about your phone.

BGR, a site that usually bashes anything that is in competition with Apple, even says that the Galaxy S7 (they probably meant the S7 Edge too) is just the hit that Samsung needs right now.

“Samsung has seen its earnings deteriorate over the past couple of years but the company is expecting a significant boost in its Q1 2016 earnings thanks in part to sales of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Via Android Central, Samsung is projecting an operating profit of $5.7 billion for Q1 2016, which represents a 10% increase over its operating profit in Q1 2015.”

The article adds that Samsung is also projecting solid revenues in the league of $42.3 billion, which is an increase over the $40.7 billion in revenues it posted during the same quarter last year. It will take a full quarter to really gauge the impact of the S7 Edge, but all indications show the phone is a blockbuster.

Samsung’s Galaxy S7 and, especially, the S7 Edge have earned outstanding reviews. CNET, which barely gives products a perfect rating, gave the Galaxy S7 Edge five stars.

“Here’s the phone you should buy right now: This one. What catapults the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to such heights? Is it the excellent camera, the beast of a battery, the expandable storage or the seductive design that’s worth more than the sum of its parts? Yes, and more.”

Reviewer Jessica Dolcourt was especially impressed with the screen and battery life, which lasts even power users more than 24 hours. The only thing that she didn’t seem to like is the price.

Tech Radar also gave the Galaxy S7 Edge five stars.

“The second you pick up the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, you know you’re holding a premium phone. Actually, that moment happens before you pick it up, as when you get close to it the always-on display will intrigue you, and the blended curve design will entice a little further,” claimed reviewer Gareth Beavis, who was especially blown away by the battery life and high-speed performance.

The Galaxy S7 Edge remains a big hit on Twitter as well.
