Britney Spears Beautifully Shuts Down Haters Who Accused Her Of Photoshopping Bikini Photo

Britney Spears, 90s pop sensation who somewhat made the transition into a pop star of the noughties and beyond, recently proved critics wrong. Not with her music, or an acting appearance, but she proved them all wrong with a selfie. According to Daily Mail, Britney posted a picture of herself on Instagram sporting an athletic physique and washboard abs, with the caption “Just chilling.”

Many people accused the “Hit Me Baby One More Time” singer of Photoshopping an earlier bikini photo, but she proved them all wrong by showing off her athletic look in other photos on Instagram. It doesn’t look like it’s a Photoshop job this time around, because you can see her abs being embraced by the shadows within her beach wear.

In other news, according to Variety, Britney Spears’ Thousand Oaks mansion is for sale.

The property in question is on sale for $9 million. High profile meltdowns and public embarrassments aside, Britney remains to this day one of the most successful popstars in the world and the exorbitant sale price of one of her mansions just helps her to portray that image. In addition, the “I’m A Slave For You” singer also recently signed a 2-year extension to her headliner residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

The house being sold was originally bought by Britney Spears back in November 2012 for a price of $6,744,500.

The house was originally built in 2010 on two, mostly-flat parcels of land spanning around 1.4 acres inside the guarded gates of the Sherwood Country Club, which is also next door to a compound that tennis superstar Pete Sampras built and sold in October 2013 for $13 million. The back of the house treated Britney Spears to a wonderful lounge area with a fireplace, a dining terrace, and a circular bar with a built-in grilling station.

Few people are surprised that Britney is selling her Sherwood Country Club home since, last October, she paid $7.4 million to acquire a private, 20-acre resort in yet another Thousand Oaks gated community just four miles away from the original property. The new property caused a stir at the time that it was purchased as it is a 13,000 square foot Italianate mansion with five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms (though what constitutes half a bathroom remains a mystery to many!), a swimming pool and an extensive pool house, a lit tennis court, extensive gardens, and a three-green golf course complete with sand traps.

Britney Spears has recently treated fans to the ultimate 90s throwback photo with Leonardo DiCaprio on her Instagram account, according to Movie News Guide.

Britney posted a picture of herself and Leo, with the Blood Diamond actor hamming it up for the camera while wearing a Boston Red Sox cap and Britney also goofing around while wearing a denim top with cutoff sleeves and a black fedora hat. There’s no real confirmation on when the photo was taken, but according to Vanity Fair, the photo could be during the time Leo was filming The Departed, which would bring the year to around 2005 or 2006.

If the photo really was taken in 2005 or 2006, that places the photo in the same period in time in which DiCaprio was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in The Aviator. At the time, Britney Spears was on the edge of ending her marriage to Kevin Federline, while expecting her second son with him. It also means that the photo was taken when Britney was almost upon her infamous meltdown.

This begs the question: What would make these two celebrities take a selfie together when they were at a point in their lives where they had practically nothing to do with each other? One was filming movies and being nominated for prestigious awards while the other was managing her crumbling personal life while also topping the billboard charts. Could they have met up during a break from filming or while Britney was on tour? Or maybe they just wanted to have some fun being with each other because they’re friends?
