Brandi Redmond On Stephanie’s Email: ‘I Was Caught Off Guard’

Brandi Redmond may have learned a thing or two after watching the Real Housewives of Dallas premiere. Firstly, she learned that her friend, Stephanie Hollman, can’t keep a secret, especially when it comes to Redmond mimicking LeeAnne Locken. Even though the mimicking was meant to be funny and humorous, it did come across as being rude and arrogant. Plus, the two ladies really didn’t get along, so many viewers felt that Redmond was mocking Locken. Now, she’s speaking out after watching the second episode.

According to a new Bravo report, Brandi Redmond is now revealing how she felt after learning that Stephanie had emailed LeeAnne about the confrontation. As Redmond explains, Hollmann is a people pleaser, and she will go out of her way to avoid any further confrontation. That’s probably the reason why Stephanie decided to write an email. Plus, one can imagine that she didn’t want to be guilty by association.

“Okay, so how did it make me feel when Stephanie wrote LeeAnne an email behind my back … first, I am not someone that feels someone owes me an explanation for his or her actions unless you’re my children or spouse,” Brandi Redmond writes in her blog for The Real Housewives of Dallas.

Even though Redmond and Stephanie are friends, it did seem like Stephanie wanted to distance herself a little from Redmond. She could laugh at the mimicking when it was happening, but when LeeAnne found out about all of the drama and confronted the ladies, Stephanie felt bad and wanted to clear her own name. And Brandi does reveal that it did feel like a stab in the back.

“Did it feel like a little bit of a stab when she told me? Yes, because she made me feel like I should apologize when I felt that I didn’t owe her one. I was caught off guard and I definitely learned something new about Stephanie … ‘Will there be more of this behind my back’ was my initial thought. As far as owing Leeanne an apology, after seeing the premiere I can see how she was hurt by me,” Brandi Redmond writes in her blog, but asks Real Housewives of Dallas viewers to wait and see what happens. It sounds like more will happen between these two when it comes to these mimics.

And her controversial behavior does come up once again this episode. When Brandi decides to wear a crazy hat to an event, one can imagine that LeeAnne almost had a heart attack. She probably couldn’t imagine herself in that hat, but Brandi doesn’t take other people’s opinions too seriously. As she explains in her blog, she just wanted to have fun and she didn’t take the hat look too seriously.

“Seriously, you just have to laugh. Kudos to LeeAnne for coming up with calling me a sea monster, it did look pretty mossy. As far as ruining my reputation, if it is social suicide to have a sense of humor … I guess I’ll stick to being a lil’ Plano,” Brandi reveals about the crazy hat.

Of course, Locken takes her charitable work very seriously and she wouldn’t be caught dead in a bad hat. Instead, she would prefer to be more conservative in her hat choices and not cause a scene with the hat. But for Brandi, life is all about having fun and making jokes, so Redmond doesn’t want to take things too seriously. And that was clear by her choice in hat.
