‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sonny Warns Alexis, Kristina Opens Up To Sam, And Franco Botches His Apology

General Hospital has been gaining speed, and this week it picks up even more. There are just a few days left before May sweeps kicks in, and the writers have been trying to keep fans interested in coming back for more every single day. The ratings for General Hospital usually go up during sweeps, and May is the second-highest period for the show to garner ratings. With mob drama on the forefront and the Nurses Ball coming back toward the end of the month, fans are ready to get things moving right now.

Julian (William deVry) is back in the mob and calling the shots for the Jerome family once again. He is risking everything by running things without telling Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) the truth. Julian left the mob for her, and now he is back in because of Ava (Maura West) and her botched attempt at being a mob boss. Later this week, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is going to warn Alexis about Julian being back in the business. Some General Hospital fans are disappointed by the way the writers took this couple. “Julexis” has been a thing for a while now, and the fanbase was pulling for them to at least get a few minutes of happiness before everything was turned upside down.

Things pick up this week on General Hospital with the search for Sabrina (Teresa Castillo). According to We Love Soaps, Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel) and Michael (Chad Duell) will begin searching for her. The last clue they have is that she is likely in Puerto Rico, but will that be where they find her? Felix and Michael will get a clue about her whereabouts and take off to follow the lead. Sabrina was not with Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) when he was captured. Teresa Castillo should be returning to the show shortly, as her maternity leave is nearly over. General Hospital fans hope that her baby is coming back to Port Charles with her, as there have been rumors of her losing another child.

Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) is finally going to open up to her big sister Sam (Kelly Monaco) this week on General Hospital. It has been a long time coming, especially since Alexis and Molly (Haley Pullos) already know the truth. General Hospital writers shocked the fans when they wrote Kristina’s teacher as a woman. It is one of the more engaging storylines in recent months, although now it has slowed way down. It is being anticipated that Sam will be fully supportive of Kristina in this situation, as she cares a lot for her younger sister.

Nina (Michelle Stafford) is in really bad shape over the way Franco (Roger Howarth) reacted to her wanting to have children and being delusional about what the doctor had said. This argument has been ongoing for several weeks now, and currently, Nina is ignoring her boyfriend. General Hospital writers have paired these two together because both play crazy well. Their chemistry is out of this world. Franco is keeping busy by taking care of Kiki (Hayley Erin) while Nina is imposing on Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) personal space. It looks like things will try and be resolved for them this week on General Hospital, but it doesn’t look promising.

As the week goes by, General Hospital writers are planting seeds for things that will grow into May sweeps. Ratings are crucial for soaps, and this is the last one ABC has left. While General Hospital isn’t in danger of cancellation, it never hurts to beef up the stories and garner high ratings during this highly competitive month in the soap world.
