Gerard Butler Relieved From Girlfriend Morgan Brown, Enjoys Singledom?

Gerard Butler seems socially relieved from the pressure of keeping up with his ex-girlfriend Morgan Brown. While the two had hot and heavy romance in Southern California all last summer, it looks like, transitioning into the new year, they fell apart.

“Gerard Butler wasn’t trading on his looks when he attended a red carpet event in Los Angeles on Saturday evening,” reports Daily Mail. “The 46 year-old pulled some funny faces as he attended a Gala to honor Avi Lerner and Millennium Films in Beverly Hills, California.”

The fact that he feels free to make faces on the red carpet means that he is feeling freer than ever by himself.

“Posing up a storm at The Beverly Hills Hotel, he was clearly enjoying himself as he split his time by looking suave and jokey,” the article added.

And just last week, he was seen having the same amount of fun promoting his new movie London Has Fallen in Asia.

“Gerard Butler didn’t deviate from his carefully crafted image when he arrived at a party to promote his latest action flick, London Has Fallen, in Hong Kong,” reported Daily Mail last week. “Stepping out in a smart-casual ensemble, the 46-year-old actor opted for a slightly laid-back air as he left a dusting of stubble on his jawline.”

So what could have been the cause of the rift between Gerard Butler and Morgan Brown? The actor is known for his flighty ways, having had a string of relationships well into his 46th year and not having committed seriously to any one particular woman.

But this time, the fact that his new movie, Gods of Egypt, flopped badly might have had something to do with the couple’s parting of ways.

“While Gerard has certainly enjoyed his own successes, his latest outing comes just weeks after his fantasy flick Gods Of Egypt flopped with a flaccid $14 million opening weekend,” reports Daily Mail.

The odd thing is that Gerard and his girlfriend have been seen PDA-ing heavily all over Malibu and Los Angeles right before he left on a tour to promote his films.

“The word on the street is that Gerard ‘cold feet‘ and ended the relationship,” according to New York Daily News.

“He seemed restless as he got ready to launch the tours and she didn’t want to put her kids through that. You know how these things happen where the girlfriend stays home and the movie star boyfriend has every girl on the red carpet throwing themselves at him,” the source said, according to New York Daily News.

Sounds like Gods of Egypt star does not have it in him to stop the pretty ladies from fawning all over him on promotional tour.

Ever since the public started to doubt his relationship status with Morgan Brown, he has been rumored to have already started seeing other ladies. About two months ago, he was seen applying his charms on Charlotte McKinney at Daytona 5000.

More recently, he was also seen getting close with Rita Ora just a few hours away in West Hollywood, engaging in “an intimate dinner at the four-star hotel’s in-house restaurant,” according to Us Weekly.

It looks like the best thing for Morgan to do is to stay away from tabloids and concentrate on her career as an interior designer.

The last time that they were seen together, they didn’t look all that happy.

This was during the last days of February before he took off on an international tour to be the face for many of the movies that he was launching in the spring. Since then, they have not been seen together.
