‘Love & Hip Hop Miami’ Confirmed By Trick Daddy – Who Else Will Star In New VH1 Spinoff?

It’s no secret that Mona Scott Young was working on another Love & Hip Hop city to add to her growing empire. Now we know that she is filming in Miami and Trick Daddy will be one of the stars. The rapper turned reality star spoke with Bossip and gave them all the details of the upcoming VH1 reality show. It sounds like Trick Daddy might actually be helping Mona to recruit the cast for the newest addition to the popular series.

Trick Daddy wasn’t shy about his role on the new Love & Hip Hop Miami, but one comment he made has fans wondering if he’ll be a good fit.

“One thing I won’t do is make a fool of myself,” Trick said. “If we gone make a fool of somebody it won’t be me, so it’ll be interesting.”

Anyone who has watched any of the LHH series will know that pretty much everyone who stars on the reality show will make a fool of themselves and probably at least a few times. Love & Hip Hop is known for being ratchet and full of drama. There’s no reason why Mona Scott Young would change up that formula now because it definitely works.

As for Trick Daddy’s co-stars, Bossip reported that his storyline should have something to do with two artists signed to his label, Premadonna and Mike Smith. As for the “love” part of the Love & Hip Hop, maybe they’ll get Trina to make appearances. That should draw some viewers.

Trick Daddy also said in his interview that he was joining up with Love & Hip Hop Miami because of his interest in the difference in Miami residents.

“I’m really doing Love & Hip Hop Miami because there’s a difference between Old Cutler (a sleepy highway that connects Miami to the Everglades) money and South Beach money,” he said. “Old Cutler money is grandfathered in, South Beach is investors.”

While Trick’s starring role on the VH1 hit reality show might be about money, we’re betting it has nothing to do with old and new. It’s more likely that the old-school southern rapper is just trying to put some money in his own pockets. Last August, TMZ reported that Trick Daddy was broke. They claim that the rapper has been paying so much child support that he was forced to file a chapter 11 bankruptcy last year and claimed to be $640k in debt.

The rapper claimed to owe more than $35k to one of his baby mamas and another $22k to another. To make financial matters even worse, Trick Daddy also claimed in the bankruptcy filing that he owed $290k in back taxes and another $280k on his first mortgage. With that much debt piling up around Trick, as well as child support bills that won’t go away, it was probably hard to say no when Mona Scott Young came calling.

As for Mona Scott Young, she hasn’t confirmed that Love & Hip Hop Miami is really happening yet. Back when there were rumors that the VH1 franchise was moving to New Orleans, she did open up and admit that she was looking at three other cities and that another LHH city would be happening. There were rumors that Mona had been scoping out Houston and Miami as possible new cities after she admitted that she was filming in New Orleans, but that it was for another project.

With Trick Daddy confirming Love & Hip Hop Miami and Mona Scott Young admitted just last month that she was considering it, fans are starting to speculate about who might join the rapper in the newest city.
