Kristin Chenoweth Leaves The Good Wife After On-Set Injury


A surprising development to come out of The Good Wife today. Kristin Chenoweth, the comedic actress who was hired to have a dramatic part in season 4 of the drama has decided to depart with the show after suffering an injury on set.

The injury was sustained on set of The Good Wife in Brooklyn on July 11 when
a piece of lighting equipment fell on the actress. At the time Chenoweth was unconscious and was rushed to the hospital, sustaining a minor injury. However, it was enough of an injury for the actress to decide to part ways with The Good Wife.

In a statement to People magazine, Kristin Chenoweth stated, “It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife. [I’m] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern.” There’s no word on how CBS execs plan to wrap up her story line, but Kristin will at least make an appearance on the September 30 season 4 premiere of The Good Wife.

Throughout the whole ordeal Kristin has been updating the struggle she has had since her injury, tweeting about the pain and her motivation to work when her body lets her, tweeting on August 8, “Today not best “pain” day. Remaining positive. (I think).”

Tweeting two weeks after the accident, Chenoweth wrote, “To all my fans: thank you for support and love! Doin better everyday. More to come when I’m able! … I love you guys xo.”

Well wishes to Kristin Chenoweth. It’s too bad about The Good Wife, she would have made an excellent addition to the cast.
