Forbes Drops Stewart And Pattinson From World’s Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples List
For those of you out there who keep hoping that, perhaps, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will patch things up following the former’s make-out session with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, Forbes’ omission from its highest-paid celebrity couples list is probably very unsettling. Were the pair still a functioning couple, they would have most certainly made the list. After all, both parties do make quite a bit of money these days.
The reason the duo didn’t make the list is actually quite simple: As the magazine told The Huffington Post, they have broken up, which essentially prevents them from appearing on the list. Makes perfect sense to me. Last year, the couple ranked fifth, earning a combined $40 million from their cinematic endeavors.
This year, Jay-Z and Beyonce have topped Forbes’ Highest-Paid Celebrity Couples list, raking in an impressive $78 million altogether. Not to be outdone, Will Smith and his wife Jada also appeared rather high in the rankings. Together, the Hollywood power couple have amassed $40 million in 12 months time. Will’s role in M. Nigh Shyamalan’s latest endeavor “After Earth” certainly helped pad their bank account, as did Jada’s turn in the animated feature “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted.”
Don’t be too quick to cry about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Both actors are apparently doing just fine. Pattinson has a number of projects in the works, including director Jean-Stéphane Sauvaire’s Mission: Blacklist. Stewart, meanwhile, was recently found lurking at the top of Forbe’s Highest Paid Actresses list. Although her love life may be in turmoil at the moment, her finances are apparently safe and sound.
The whole Stewart/Pattinson fiasco has cast a dark shadow over the former couple’s upcoming film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2, the final installment in Summit’s money-making franchise. Director Bill Condon has even asked fans to give the film’s heartbroken stars plenty of space, privacy, and respect.
