Liam Hemsworth Is Not Engaged, But Miley Cyrus Thinks They Are

Liam Hemsworth recently revealed that he’s not engaged to Miley Cyrus. But the pop star sure thinks they are.

Despite the constant rumors and reports, Liam Hemsworth said that he and Miley Cyrus are not engaged. The 26-year-old actor made an appearance on Australia’s TV Week in an interview that was actually conducted on March 31, but wasn’t really released until this week.

“I am not engaged, no,” the Hunger Games star insisted.

Rumors swirled that the couple was re-engaged earlier this year after sources confirmed to People that the pair’s relationship was back on. Cyrus and Hemsworth were spotted together in Australia along with Hemsworth’s family over the holidays. Then, TMZ spotted Cyrus moving her things in Hemsworth’s home back in January. Cyrus, 23, was spotted wearing the same 3.5 carat engagement ring that Hemsworth previously gave her before their split in 2013.

While the couple are not marrying anytime soon, People‘s source added that the two stars “are back together and very happy.”

Sources revealed to Hollywood Life that Miley feels that she’s engaged to Liam no matter what he says in interviews. One of the sources explained why Liam and Miley have different views on their relationship.

“Miley feels that they are engaged and will get married, Liam is happy as well in the relationship but he believes that he would have to ask for her hand in marriage again to make it official again. He is more traditional, where Miley is resorting back to the relationship they had before they broke up. So it really depends on who you ask, he didn’t mean it as a diss towards Miley. They just have different ideas where they officially stand right now.”

It sounds like there’s in more trouble in Cyrus’ relationship with Hemsworth. The “Wrecking Ball” singer reportedly posted a cryptic message on social media shortly after they were spotted out on a date together. It was the couple’s first public appearance since they rekindled their relationship earlier this year.

“Soon 2 be Unveiled,” Cyrus captioned a photo of herself. In the Instagram post, Cyrus was photographed wearing a blue T-Shirt with a big red pin that read “Don’t F*** With Us Don’t F*** Without Us.”

Of course, it’s unclear what Miley’s post was about. It could be centered towards a new organization that she’s either supporting or launching. But this recent post comes amid the rumors that Miley and Liam have been having troubled in their romance. Rumors resurfaced after the blonde pop tart was photographed casually wearing the engagement ring on Instagram.

Last week, media outlets claimed that Cyrus and Hemsworth had lunch with his family at Gracias Madre Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood. Earlier that week, the two attended the premiere of Chris Hemsworth’s new movie, The Huntsman. Liam Hemsworth didn’t want Cyrus out of his sight when they arrived to the Baltaire restaurant in Los Angeles, according to Hollywood Life’s sources.

“Liam is going out of his way to protect Miley and their love. They have both been out of sight, not seen together, and that has been his plan to protect the privacy of their relationship. Liam has hired extra security for them both.”

Over the past few months, rumors surfaced that Hemsworth is not happy with Cyrus’ marijuana addiction. Meanwhile, the singer is rumored to have toned down her wild appearance to appease her fiancé. Another report in InTouch Weekly claims that Cyrus was worried that Hemsworth would change his mind and “dump her at the altar.” A so-called friend of Cyrus’ told the tabloid that Hemsworth may go back on his decision because his family apparently isn’t crazy about her.

“Him dumping her would put her into a very dark place mentally, emotionally and physically. She will fall apart — and it will be ugly. She won’t be able to handle it.”

Amid the arguments over Miley’s marijuana addiction, the couple’s relationship has also been strained after she sent Liam a sexy text message originally meant for her former girlfriend Stella Maxwell.
