Wounded Iraq War Veteran Endorses Donald Trump, Wants To Help Him Fine-Tune His Military Policies

One of the worst-wounded in the Iraq war, Staff Sgt. Bobby Henline, has come out in support of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump. The wounded veteran, who is now a stand-up comedian, says that “Trump is aggressive and that is good.” However, Henline points out that Trump’s policies would need fine-tuning and he thinks he is just the man to help advise Trump on issues regarding the military.

The Daily Mail reports that Staff Sgt. Bobby Henline, the sole survivor of a horrific roadside bombing in Iraq and a Purple Heart recipient, has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for president while offering his advice for the presidential hopeful. Henline lost his left arm, had burns over 38 percent of his body, spent two weeks in a coma, and has had two years of physical therapy after his Humvee was blown up by a roadside bomb while on duty in Iraq. The other four of Henline’s comrades in the Humvee were killed in the same explosion, but Henline miraculously survived despite his horrific injuries.

Following his long recovery, Henline decided to start a career as a stand-up comedian, often using humor to overcome the horror of the Iraq incident. He often uses his comedy events to raise money for good causes with the hopes of helping, supporting, and employing other wounded veterans.

Though Henline is no longer active duty, the Purple Heart recipient says that he would go back to fight for the country again if he was allowed. Due to his injuries, he is unable to return to war but says that he could advise presidential hopeful Donald Trump with sound military policies. Henline spoke out in support of Donald Trump to the Daily Mail, noting that “Trump is aggressive, and that is good.” He points out that Donald Trump doesn’t have to know everything, so long as he has good people advising him.

“I would definitely advise Mr Trump. A good leader doesn’t have to know everything. Nobody knows everything that’s why you surround yourself with people who are experts in different areas. That’s what makes a good leader. Someone who can motivate the people like that. Trump is aggressive and that is good.”

Henline has also spoken out in support of the use of waterboarding by the U.S. military. Henline points out that “in a war situation you have to do things that you wouldn’t normally do in life” and that he agrees with Trump’s stance that waterboarding is something that should be an option.

“If you get captured you’re getting your head cut off on TV. But then we can’t pour water on their face to get them to talk to us. That is frustrating. Waterboarding is something we would do to our own guys as part of training but we can’t do it to this guy who is trying to kill us. “

The wounded veteran says that with Trump’s leadership and the right advising on military matters, the businessman would make the best president. Despite Henline’s new move to comedy, he is still very serious about a number of issues in America. For example, Henline has made it his personal mission to help other wounded veterans. In fact, Henline is currently working on a number of projects aimed at providing jobs for war veterans. One of these projects is “Biggie’s Burger and Great Shakes.” The idea is to open a chain of burger and shake joints all owned by vets.

“Biggie’s Burger and Great Shakes, is another restaurant of the same name in San Clemente, California, owned by Korean War veteran Richard Brown. The pair have decided to go into business together and build a chain of Biggie’s restaurants all owned by vets.”
