Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton Want A Baby, But Not Before Their Wedding

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton appear to be a picture perfect couple, which has led fans to hope for a future marriage and family.

Since the November 2015 start of their romance, Gwen Stefani and Shelton have faced rumor after rumor regarding their possible next steps, and as their relationship continues, so have the rumors.

In one of the latest reports shared by OK! Magazine on April 15, a source claims Gwen Stefani and Shelton are planning to get married and have a child together. In the magazine, the source claimed The Voice couple was determined to make their romance long term, and revealed Shelton would be giving Gwen Stefani her fourth child (she already has three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, from her marriage to Gavin Rossdale). However, in regard to the “pregnant bride” claims revealed by International Business Times on April 14, there is no truth.

Following OK! Magazine‘s publication, a rep for Gwen Stefani told Gossip Cop that the pregnancy allegations were all “lies.” A source close to Shelton also spoke to the outlet, confirming the pregnancy story was fictional.

News of Gwen Stefani’s fake pregnancy comes just weeks after a source claimed the former No Doubt singer would not be allowing herself to get pregnant before she and Shelton tied the knot.

“[Gwen Stefani] wants to take on a few more career goals and not get into having a child right now, but that is nothing against Blake in any way, shape, or form,” a sourced revealed to Hollywood Life. “They are enjoying being together without the baby. They would hope to be married before anything like that happened anyways.”

That said, another report claimed Gwen Stefani, 46, was taking the steps necessary to assure that when she and Shelton decide to start a family of their own, she won’t have trouble doing so.

“[Gwen Stefani] is freezing her eggs because she wants to have a baby with Blake,” an insider close to Gwen Stefani revealed to In Touch Weekly. “She’d love to have a girl — plus Gwen knows her boys would love to have another sibling — and wants to give Blake this opportunity to have a child that’s biologically his. But she doesn’t want her age to prevent that from happening.”

Although Shelton has reportedly told Gwen Stefani that he doesn’t have to have children of his own, the magazine insider claimed Gwen Stefani didn’t want to take any chances on a possible deal breaker.

Gwen Stefani and Shelton began dating at the end of last year while filming The Voice Season 9 in Los Angeles. At the time, both were fresh off their respective divorces from Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert. In July 2015, Shelton and Lambert announced they were parting ways after 4 years of marriage, and weeks later, in August of the same year, Gwen Stefani and Rossdale revealed they were ending their marriage after 13 years.

Since their splits and newfound love, both Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend have put out new songs. Last month, Gwen Stefani released a new album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, which featured a song about Shelton titled, “Make Me Like You.” Meanwhile, Shelton is set to debut his next album, If I’m Honest, on May 20.
