WWE Rumors: Powerful Stable Full Of Former Champions Breaking Up Soon

Over the past year or so, there have been a number of new stables formed in WWE, and some have come totally out of nowhere. Well, they aren’t going to last forever, and it appears as if one is about to split up so the members can go their separate ways. The League of Nations have already gone from four members to three when they kicked King Barrett out of the group, but now the remaining three members are going back on their own soon.

As The Authority have taken a leave of absence from WWE television, the League of Nations have now moved on to a feud with The Wyatt Family. Well, it may end up being the final feud and program for the team of Rusev, Sheamus, and Alberto Del Rio.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that a number of people backstage have already been told to consider the League of Nations as broken up. On Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania 32, the League booted King Barrett out of the group for being the weakest link, and that was step one.

Everyone thought this was WWE’s way of writing Wade Barrett out of the stable and pretty much taking him off of all programming. It’s now known that Barrett is planning on leaving WWE sometime this summer, and it is expected that this may be his punishment from the company.

It was back in February that the Pro Wrestling Sheet reported Wade Barrett gave notice of his departure to WWE. Essentially, it just took a couple of months to write him off and get him out of the League of Nations storyline-wise.

Well, that wasn’t just the beginning of the end for Barrett, but the beginning of the end for the League of Nations entirely.

The group formed back in November when Sheamus was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and Alberto Del Rio was the United States Champion. They had come together in attacking Roman Reigns and officially formed the League of Nations.

Soon though, Sheamus lost the WWE Title to Reigns. Del Rio lost the U.S. Title to Kalisto on two separate occasions. They tried to win the WWE Tag Titles from The New Day a couple of times and failed, but got a big, non-title victory at WrestleMania 32.

Now, their time is close to over.

Currently, the three remaining members of the League of Nations are feuding with The Wyatt Family, and it’s been expected that there will be a six-man tag match at Payback in early May. Now, Bray Wyatt hasn’t only gotten involved in a program with Roman Reigns, but he’s suffered an injury and it’s not known how much time he may miss.

Once the League of Nations splits up, the plans that WWE has for them aren’t really known. All three have won titles in the past, and two of them (Sheamus and Del Rio) are former world champions. They all are main event level talent and could be placed into separate new feuds.

Not that they couldn’t do that by staying a formed in a stable, but WWE may end up wanting to turn one of them face as well. The most logical option for that would be Sheamus, but that remains to be seen.

The League of Nations truly was a very strong faction when they first formed. Sheamus was the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Alberto Del Rio was the United States Champion, and they had King Barrett and Rusev, who also held belts in the past. Now, they’re feuding with The Wyatt Family, but will soon head back out on their own and be another stable of the past.
