Chad Johnson Has Bond Set At $2500

Chad Ochocinco was hoping to turn over a new leaf when he switched his name back to Chad Johnson. But that plan isn’t going too well. The Dolphins wide-receiver was arrested this morning for domestic violence. His bail has been set at $2500.

Johnson was booked into the Broward County Jail after an altercation with his wife Evelyn Lozada last night. Johnson and Lozada apparently started fighting after the reality star found a receipt for condoms that Johnson recently purchased. The NFL star allegedly headbutted his new wife and was booked for domestic violence.

Johnson is expected to post bail and be released from prison in the next few hours. He has also been ordered to stay away from Lozada for the time being.

A rep for the Miami Dolphins said:

“We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all the relevent information.”

Johnson hasn’t made an official statement but according to TMZ the football player is claiming that the head-butt was accidental.

Johnson’s NFL career has hit a bit of a rough patch but the former great recently signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins, Johnson, and his wife Lozada will be the focus of HBO’s Hard Knocks this year.
