Khloe Kardashian Finally Ready To Divorce Lamar Odom

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s marriage has been rocky to say the least, and now it looks like the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star may finally be ready to move with her life.

According to Us Weekly, Khloe Kardashian is fully planning to re-file for divorce from Lamar Odom, and soon. Khloe and Lamar have been trying to work on their friendship since Odom’s shocking drug overdose and the near-death health scare that followed. However, it looks like Kardashian just can’t see herself staying married to Odom after all that’s happened.

Recently, Lamar Odom was seen out in a bar partying with friends. The photos sparked a lot of controversy as Lamar is still recovering from his health crisis, where he overdosed on drugs, and was said to have nearly died after suffering multiple strokes. Even though sources say that Odom is doing really well now, Khloe Kardashian still allegedly wants a divorce.

“Lamar is doing great. He hasn’t been drinking and is doing well. But Khloé is going to file for divorce. She wants to leave him now.”

Khloe and Lamar married in 2009 after dating for only one month. The couple seemed happily married, but Kardashian was hiding a big secret, and that was that Odom was abusing drugs. The couple split, and Khloe finally filed for divorce in 2013.

While the divorce papers were filed, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom did not rush to officially end their marriage. Then, finally in 2015, the couple both signed the divorce documents and their paperwork was given to a judge to sign off on. Just weeks later, Odom was found unresponsive after overdosing at a Nevada brothel.

When Khloe Kardashian rushed to Lamar Odom’s side, she quickly realized that he would need a lot of care, support, and recovery time. Khloe then asked that the divorce documents be dismissed, and the two remained legally married.

Now, six months after Lamar Odom’s drug overdose, he’s looking quite well, and was even spotted out at Staples Center with Kim Kardashian’s husband, Kanye West, on Wednesday night to support close friend and former teammate Kobe Bryant as he played his last NBA game.

After the game, Lamar revealed in an interview that his next step was to get back on the court and rejoin a team in the NBA, because he’s “still got it.” When asked about Khloe Kardashian re-filing for divorce, Lamar was nonchalant about it, saying he knows the truth and that he and Khloe have been through a lot together, and will continue to be in communication. “Everything is up for discussion. I mean we’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop,” he said.

Earlier this year, Khloe Kardashian spoke out on her relationship with Lamar Odom, saying that it’s hard to regain the friendship they once had.

“I hope that first marriage could happen again, but it’s really hard to erase everything that happened. Just building a friendship back is what I’m doing now, it has nothing intimately, nothing at all, just pure love, and I want someone to learn how to love themselves again.”

While it seems that Khloe may need this divorce to happen to fully have closure on her time with Lamar, as well as move on in her life for good, Lamar is also looking ahead to the future, and wants to focus on his goals as well.

“He’s fine with [the divorce.] He has a whole new lease on life.”
