WWE News: WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt Injures Leg At WWE Live Event In Milan, Italy

WWE has been suffering through one heck of an injury bug since 2015 with some major names going down, and some hurt so bad that they had to retire. See Sting and Daniel Bryan for more information. WWE then lost some stars like Seth Rollins, John Cena, Randy Orton, and Cesaro. Clearly, the loss of these men was huge, but it does appear that they will be back within the next few months. Sadly, another one may have joined them in the injured reserve.

Bray Wyatt was working a match against WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns today in Milan, Italy. WWE happens to be overseas due to their European Tour this week. The match was going relatively well until Wyatt slipped on a mat, for whatever reason, and it resulted in him clutching his leg immediately upon going down, according to fans in attendance. The match was then ruled a no contest soon after.

As you can see from the picture below from a Twitter user that happened to be in the audience, Bray Wyatt is being helped to the back after going down. As of now, we can assume the leg injury is not fantastic. Usually, when you’re helped to the back, there is something up when a person is physically unable to do anything. Interestingly enough, Wyatt Family member Luke Harper went down just recently with a leg injury of his own. It is believed he tore his ACL.

Wyatt was also just now coming back from a nagging back injury, which was why he did not get featured in a match at WrestleMania and had the random segment with The Rock and John Cena instead. Funny enough, the last time WWE went over to Europe, Seth Rollins ended up tearing his ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus. Before Rollins went down, Daniel Bryan was hurt in Europe where he went down to a concussion. Both have not made their way back to the ring yet. While Bryan had to end up retiring, Rollins is expected back in a few months.

At the end of the day, though, it seems WWE cannot keep their top stars healthy in Europe. There was a scare with AJ Styles last night as well, meaning WWE came ever so close to losing two guys potentially. While Styles claims he is okay, we have not heard a thing regarding Wyatt other than the fact that he is hurt. This is clearly a big blow to WWE as there were plans for The Wyatt Family heading into this summer.

One rumor was that Bray Wyatt and the family would turn babyface. Another was that Bray Wyatt would get a chance to go up against Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Title at some point this summer. Bray was ready to come back to the ring full time, and it made sense to believe that WWE would want to start using him to the best of their abilities considering he is a top star that the company does have a lot invested in.

Without Bray Wyatt, the family does not truly work as well as it should. Sure, Wyatt can easily be a mouthpiece for the Wyatt Family while his family members work matches for him. However, the best worker of the Wyatts is Luke Harper, and he cannot work right now due to his own injury. That leaves the very green Braun Strowman and the less than fantastic worker in Erick Rowan around to work matches, which means we may not see the family for a while if Bray has to miss time. No update has come out of the WWE regarding the issue as of now, but we will update if they do.

UPDATE: WWE commented on the issue and claimed Bray suffered a calf injury. It is still unknown if he will miss time as of now.
