‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ Wants Sir Elton John, What Else Do We Know About The Film?

Sir Elton John is the latest celebrity rumored to be joining Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to 2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Casting for the movie is ongoing, and the latest news from The Hollywood Reporter states that Elton John is in talks to join the growing cast of Kingsman: The Golden Circle. There have been no hints as to the character Elton John will play, but some guess that he might be playing himself. Metro UK, though, thinks that Sir Elton John would make a great villain.

Sir Elton John’s appearance in the film is not yet set in stone, but Mark Millar, who wrote the comics the movie is based on, commented on the news about Elton John possibly joining the cast.

Elton John, although known to most as a singer, has lent his talent to movies and TV shows, including Spice World, The Lion King, and The Simpsons.

If Elton John does agree to star in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, he will be joining other new characters in the film, including Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, and Pedro Pascal, who have all been confirmed to star in the movie. According to an article on Slashfilm, Pedro Pascal, who will play Jack Daniels, and Halle Berry, who will play Ginger, are good guys who are members of the Statesman, the American counterpart of Kingsman. Moore, on the other hand, will play a villain named Poppy.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle will now focus on the adventures of Eggsy, played by Taron Egerton, who is now an official member of the Kingsman. On April 7, Egerton posted a tweet, teasing fans with a picture.

In Kingsman: The Secret Service, Colin Firth’s character, Harry Hart, also called Galahad, was killed by Valentine, played by Samuel L. Jackson. With Egerton’s tweet, however, Firth may not be dead after all. Fans of the movie have been asking the question of whether Galahad is really dead, and a single tweet may have answered it. In a previous interview, Egerton said that he thinks the character is dead.

“I think he’s pretty dead. Shot in the head. But, I mean, I still have dreams that… I always thought it would be lovely to see Eggsy and Harry reunited. I have this, you know, I have my own fantasies about that.”

Even before the sequel for Kingsman was greenlit, director Matthew Vaughn stated that he already had plans for Colin Firth’s character, as reported by USA Today. Many fans were upset that Galahad died, and they were itching to know if he would come back.

“A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel but I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America, I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back.”

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, one character from the first Kingsman movie who is sure to return for the sequel is Mark Strong, who plays the character of Merlin.

Vaughn further shared some of his ideas for the Kingsman sequel. One of the most exciting scenes in the first movie was the church massacre, which was highly praised by viewers. Many are hoping for another action-packed scene, and Vaughn said that he has some ideas.

“You try not to read what people want, but they do want another church sequence. I have no reason for another massacre to happen. But I have other sequences you’ve never seen before.”

Kingsman: The Secret Service was released in 2014 and had positive reviews. With a budget of $81 million, the film brought home $414 million in worldwide box office sales.
