Watch Kobe Bryant’s Final NBA Game Live Online: Start Time, Streaming Video Link For Wednesday’s Historic Lakers Vs. Jazz Game

Fans can watch Kobe Bryant’s last NBA game live online and see the departure of an NBA legend in what is otherwise an utterly forgettable season for one of the league’s most storied franchises.

The Los Angeles Lakers will face off against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday in what is Bryant’s final game of his 20-year career. The game will tip off at 10:30 p.m. ET and will be shown on ESPN2, but viewers who want to watch live online will be in luck as ESPN is providing streaming video, including a broadcast in Spanish (link to the streaming video can be found below).

Though he is an 18-time All-Star, a 15-time All-NBA selection, and an NBA champion five times over, the final chapter of Kobe Bryant’s NBA career is marked with injury and declining play. He lost the explosiveness that once made him the NBA’s best player, and saw three of his final five seasons cut short due to injury, including the 2013-14 season in which he played only six games.

But Bryant kept coming back, fighting through all the injuries and adversity.

“I just love to play,” Bryant told USA Today. “I just kept trying to figure out different ways to play through things and you know it was basic logic to me if there was any reason the injury wouldn’t get worse, I’m going to play through it.

“If it’s an injury that’s just painful and I can navigate the pain then I will be fine, I will play. But I didn’t play with things that would lead to career ending things.”

Bryant said he has plenty of memories from across his career — including scoring 81 points against the Toronto Raptors in 2006 — but he said the 2010 NBA Championship over the Boston Celtics is above them all.

“(2010) is the one I will treasure,” Bryant said. “(Boston was) a heck of a team and we were down 3-2. I remember being in the locker room after (Game 5) in Boston and being there with Derek Fisher and Pau (Gasol) and Lamar Odom and the guys and I just started busting out laughing. We found humor in being down 3-2, that is a moment I will never, ever forget.”

Fans who watch Kobe Bryant’s final NBA game live online will be saving a lot of money from the thousands lucky enough to be inside the Staples Center to see it in person. ESPN reported that ticket prices for Wednesday’s game are among the most expensive regular season games of all time.

“As of Tuesday morning, fans have paid a StubHub average of $997 for a ticket at the Staples Center to see No. 24 take the final shots of his 20-year NBA career for the Lakers, against the Jazz. The ticket broker believes this is a regular-season record average for any sport.”

But with these prices come the inevitable scams, and the Lakers have already warned fans about the dangers of purchasing tickets through the secondary market.

Ticket prices are also sky-high for Wednesday’s other historic game, as the Golden State Warriors go for what would be an NBA-record 73 wins.

“It is virtually unprecedented to see the two highest-priced regular-season games of the year take place in the last game of the season at games with no playoff stakes involved,” StubHub spokesman Glenn Lehrman said.
