‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: New Trailer Is Two Minutes Full Of Action And Excitement

There are 13 more days until the premiere of Game of Thrones Season 6. Generally, the number 13 is considered an unlucky number. In this case, however, I’d say it is quite the opposite. In this case, 13 is a very lucky number, because today, HBO gave us a second trailer for Game of Thrones Season 6, and it’s a good one! It also includes lots of spoilers, so stop reading now if you don’t want to read spoilers.

The new Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer begins with a scene that is not new if you’ve been keeping up with teasers, clips, etc. The first Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer showed us the shot of Ser Davos standing ready to defend Jon Snow’s corpse. Then a couple of days ago, Liam Cunningham (who plays Ser Davos) appeared on Conan and shared a clip that showed us that after pulling his sword he turns to defend Jon’s corpse against a group of Night’s Watch brothers who are hacking their way through the door. But there is little after that scene that is not new. Game of Thrones has always been able to keep us guessing and gasping and it looks like Season 6 will be no different judging by the new trailer.

It may be only two minutes long, but the latest Game of Thrones trailer will make fans even more eager than before to see what Season 6 holds. These two minutes gives us images and quotes that will stay in our minds until April 24.

We have Jaime Lannister saying that, yes, he would spill blood in a holy place. After all, “The gods won’t mind. They’ve spilled more blood than the rest of us combined.”

And we have Drogon flying over a massive number of Dothraki. We’re hoping this is just before he swoops down and saves The Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, who we see stripped a few seconds later. A still-blind Arya Stark is learning to fight in The Hall of Faces, the setting for a previous Game of Thrones Season 2 teaser. A determined Sansa vows to take back what has been taken from her as we assume she plots against two people who have seriously wronged her in the past – Ramsay Bolton, who raped her in arguably the most disturbing Game of Thrones scene to date, and the Freys.

In a prior peek at Game of Thrones Season 6, we saw Cersei Lannister, when ordered to stand aside or violence would ensue, say “I choose violence.” In this second trailer, she advises her king son Tommen to “Stand at the head of our army where you belong. Show them what Lannisters are and what we do to our enemies.”

Amid Game of Thrones rumors of a resurrected Jon Snow and an undead Catelyn Stark, a proclamation says, “The real war is between the living and the dead. And make no mistake, the dead are coming.”

There is so much more in this new Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer. Fiery scenes, battle scenes, Ramsay Bolton, a lusty moment between Cersei and Jaime. Thirteen more days and will all start to unfold before our eyes. Showrunners have promised a Game of Thrones season that is the best yet. They have spoken of epic battles of which we get a glimpse in this trailer. Resurrections and undead, the fate of Jon Snow, the parentage of Jon Snow – these are all things we can’t wait to see.

The Game of Thrones wait is nearly over. Winter is nearly here (in Westeros at least). HBO brings us Season 6 of GOT beginning April 24. If this heart-thumping trailer is any hint at what’s to come, it’s going to be a great season.
