Von Miller Prepares To Tell Cinderella Story On ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ Isn’t Johnny Manziel’s Fairy Godmother

Von Miller and pro-partner Witney Carson will bring the Disney magic to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom tonight when they perform a Cinderella-inspired Viennese Waltz. However, Von won’t be playing the role of fairy godmother, so Johnny Manziel shouldn’t expect his friend to wave his magic wand and restore his NFL career.

As 9News Denver KUSA reports, Von Miller and Witney Carson are going to dance to “A Dream is a Wish” for Disney Night on DWTS. The optimistic song is featured in both the animated and live-action versions of Disney’s Cinderella movies. Judging from a badly-edited photo on Witney’s Instagram page, Von is going to be the Prince Charming to her Cinderella.

Unfortunately for Witney, her celebrity partner is being plagued by a big distraction on Dancing with the Stars gameday: troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel. Von Miller’s name is popping up in headlines everywhere because of a comment that the former Cleveland Browns player recently made. During a late night out in West Hollywood, Manziel told a TMZ paparazzo that he and Miller recently became roomies.

“I’m living out here with my guy Von Miller. Everybody knows Von Miller,” Manziel said, after grabbing the photog’s camera. “Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. My brother. I’m living with him right now. We’re getting our lives together, bro.”

However, a source informed 9News that Johnny Football is not actually sharing an abode with his fellow former Texas A&M Aggie. They guys are both currently in Los Angeles, but 9News reporter Mike Klis recently tweeted that Von Miller is being housed by Dancing with the Stars while Johnny Manziel is not.

During his brief chat with TMZ, Manziel expressed an interest in joining Miller’s Super Bowl-winning team. ESPN reports that Von Miller would love for this to happen, but he’s not Johnny Football’s fairy godmother. If Manziel wants the dreams that he wishes to come true, he’ll have to impress “the guys in the front office,” not Prince Charming.

“If I had to make my decision on it, he would already be on the Broncos,” Miller told reporters on Friday. “But we’ve got guys in the front office that make those decisions, and they put us in championships with those decisions. So I’m just going to follow those guys and have those guys take the lead.”

According to ESPN, “those guys” are interested in Von Miller’s wannabe roomie, but they want to see what happens with the quarterback’s pending legal issues before they seriously start thinking about a future with Johnny Football.

Witney Carson can only hope that her Dancing with the Stars partner is able to keep his head in the game after dealing with all this Johnny Manziel drama. Von and Witney usually finish in the middle of the pack on the show, and it’s going to get harder for them to skate by without high scores now that the weakest competitors, Mischa Barton and Geraldo Rivera, have been weeded out. TV Guide predicts that Von Miller and the show’s other NFL stars, Doug Flutie and Antonio Brown, are in the greatest danger of being eliminated tonight. This late in the game, a strong performance might not be enough to save Von.

But at least Von and Witney would be going out in style. According to Teen Vogue, their performance is going to include a fancy fairytale carriage. There’s no word on whether a few over-sized mice will pull the former pumpkin into the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.

You can see if Von Miller’s Dancing with the Stars fairytale comes to an end or gets another chapter when the show airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
