‘Southern Charm’ News: Is Whitney Sudler-Smith’s Restaurant Open?

Viewers are really excited that Southern Charm has returned to Bravo. One big thing that has been talked about on the show is the fact that Whitney Sudler-Smith wants to open up his own restaurant. Bustle shared the details of Whitney’s business and if this Southern Charm restaurant is one that you can ever actually visit. On the show, it was obvious that Whitney wasn’t even close to being done.

For the last several years, Whitney Sudler-Smith has been working on a French-Mexican eatery he planned to open in his hometown of Charleston. It sounded like he was really interested in this and that Whitney wanted to make it work. It turns out that Whitney Sudler-Smith’s dream will not come true. His restaurant won’t be opening at all now, and this could end up featuring on the current season of Southern Charm.

This business is something that Whitney has been working on for the last couple of years. Restaurateur Bryan Kestner, who was working on the French/Mexican tequila bar and restaurant with Whitney Sudler-Smith, decided to quit the project and move on. Instead, there is another business already going in there. It looks like Whitney’s business will not be opening at all.

On a recent episode, Whitney Sudler-Smith shared that they had been doing a lot and things were going well. On the show, they shared that they were $1.5 million over budget. Whitney didn’t want his mom to check it out, though. He knew that things were not where they needed to be, and he didn’t want her to see it just yet. Whitney admitted that he is living in Los Angeles and just doesn’t really care. Maybe Whitney won’t be too upset that it isn’t going to open anyway. No word on exactly why they decided to give up the business idea.

Generalísimo was the name of this business, and it did sound like it would be pretty great. It was supposed to have outdoor seating, and they had already hired a chef, who is now out a job. Hopefully, he was able to find a new job soon.

Now rumors are also flying that Kathryn Dennis and Whitney Sudler-Smith dated for a bit. Bravo TV shared the truth about what went down between these two and if they really dated in the past. Kathryn actually shared that it was more than just a one night stand, but it doesn’t sound like these two had a serious relationship either.

Here is what Kathryn had to say about it.

“It was more than what was talked about. As in, it wasn’t like a one-night mistake, like he said. But we were, like, basically together, dating, whatever you want to call it, for about a week-and-a-half, two weeks. But I was staying with him.”

Whitney Sudler and Kathryn Dennis did have a fun time together, but the two were not very serious. Since then, Kathryn has moved on and had two children with Thomas, but it sounds like she is single now. They don’t seem to have plans to work it out, but they do have two kids together and will have to find a way to get along.
