Louis Tomlinson’s Girl Band: Here’s The Finalized Lineup, And They’re Very Young

Sources report that Louis Tomlinson, former One Direction star, has finalized the lineup of the girl band he announced he was thinking about getting together back in October, and has actually been in the studio practicing with the members this past week.

An unnamed source recently revealed a bit about the girls to British publication The Sun.

“Louis is on a break from One Direction he is getting stuck in to work on his record label,” the source said.

“With the help of his team he’s found four of the most talented young girls and set them up with the best songwriters in the business.”

The lineup consists of Annika Rose on vocals, Charlotte Dean on bass, Marlhy Murphy on drums, and Lexii Lynn Frazier on guitar. All four girls are in their teenage years (leader Annika is 14), and they are all remarkable talents, the source claims.

In fact, the source said, Louis Tomlinson’s girl band project will be different than typical girls bands, which have become notorious for simply singing (or lip syncing) and dancing over music that is either pre-recorded or played by largely uncredited backup artists.

“They are all proper musicians and play their own instruments,” says the source, “so it’s not your average girl band.”

Not only do Tomlinson’s hand-picked proteges have great talent, the publication writes, but they have an incredible music industry backing. Just the fact that they have Simon Cowell and Louis Tomlinson vouching for them is huge in itself, but they also get access to many of the songwriters that wrote for One Direction, a fact, that is virtually guaranteed to get them at least a few #1 hits.

Tomlinson has also set the girls up with producer Darkchild, an industry superstar who has worked with countless pop culture icons including Beyonce, Mariah Carey, and Michael Jackson.

And possibly the biggest advantage the band has (apart from maybe their natural talent) is the fact that Louis Tomlinson, who has a lot of very recent experience in a wildly successful band of musical youths, is unwaveringly dedicated to making the girls a success. In fact, he turned down an opportunity to join Cowell on Britain’s The X Factor UK in order to continue work with them.

And Unreality TV points out that the girl band project isn’t the only reason Louis Tomlinson is sure to stay on this side of the Atlantic rather than return to his UK homeland. Louis’s son, Freddie, is also here in the U.S., and the elder Tomlinson has shown time and time again that he is a dedicated father, especially in the midst of the recent flood of rumors claiming that Freddie Tomlinson is not, in fact, real.

Louis Tomlinson’s grandfather, Len, recently told itv that Louis is extremely devoted to being the best father he can be.

“Louis wants to be a great dad and he is a great dad and will be a better dad. But it’s all a new learning curve for him. I see him changing Freddie and feeding Freddie, like we all do and all have done. But it’s a new phenomenon for Louis and he’s learning very quickly on his feet.”

One can infer from Len Tomlinson’s words that Louis will not be leaving America – and his son – anytime soon.

Even besides his work as a dad and the formation of the girl band, Louis Tomlinson has been keeping very busy in the months since One Direction called it quits. What with Tomlinson’s constant bickering with other members of the former band, his balancing of the various women in his life, and his wild party life, it is astounding Louis has taking care of business at the full-time job that is being a dad and simultaneously starting his own business venture (the girl band).

Hats off to you, Mr. Tomlinson.
