There’s A Good Chance Derek Hough And Hayley Erbert Are Just ‘Disneyland’ Pals

E! Online is only one of the sources reporting that Derek Hough has been spotted with a Hayley Erbert at Disneyland. The article shows various images of them via Instagram where they seem to be more than pals and perhaps on a date.

The greater narrative of these reports is that during Hough’s time off from Dancing With The Stars (DWTS), he and Erbert are having a serious relationship.

The Inquisitr also hinted at this, referring to the rather intimate moments the two have shared in public. One fan seems to have “confirmed” that they are indeed dating, but this does not necessarily make it official.

The Inquisitr article also shows footage from the show, where both Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert are paired up and dancing.

In March The Inquisitr also reported on a confirmation that Derek Hough was working on the television hit Jane the Virgin while taking a break from DWTS and his Singing In The Rain Broadway show.

In his interview with People, he said that he had to step away from DWTS for a bit to get inspired again and try to pursue other things in the meantime.

I think I just always had the feeling of being inspired – I want to give all to whatever I’m doing. I think I just needed a little bit of time to grow. I think if you’re not growing, essentially – it sounds dramatic but it’s true – so for me this is giving me some time to work on other skills that I want to work on for myself.

Further in the article, Derek Hough says that he wants to try to find a life for himself, which has caused some fans to wonder whether he’s getting serious into his 30s, or still “playing the field” going out on dates.

Of course, it also has a lot to do with the questions people are asking about Hough and Erbert.

It might just be that there’s nothing to see here as it seems that there have been plenty of chances for them to go out, since they have had a friendly relationship over the years, along with his sister, Julianne Hough.

Derek Hough has been with Dancing with the stars since 2007, and has shared the show with his sister Julianne Hough, who also went through a similar period — not necessarily of dating — but of distancing herself from DWTS for other projects, which she talked about in an interview with Ryan Seacrest in 2008.

Hayley Erbert has only started her second season with DWTS. The Topeka-Captial Journal reported on a dance number she was involved in recently, which was set up like the set for the show Full House where they danced in their pajamas.

But the article also provides some background on Erbert, including when Derek Hough and his sister hired her to dance with them for the Move Live On Tour 2014.

Prior to this, she had auditioned and made her way through DWTS try-outs before she was cut in 2013, only to be brought on for the tour version of the television show that same year.

The article is written as a local nod to her, as she graduated from Topeka’s Washburn Rural High, and apparently wasted no time in going for those try outs.

It’s also mentioned her involvement with the Disneyland 60th Anniversary TV Special, which took place at the park this year, which is similar to the recent shots of her with Derek Hough in that they were both there, but different in that they had the park all to herself.

“We got to dance at Disneyland with nobody there. It was midnight when we started and we were there until 5 or 6 a.m. It was amazing having Disneyland all to ourselves,” she said. “All the rides weren’t working, of course, but it was so beautiful. It was an experience that nobody else gets.”

Until Derek Hough or Erbert announce it’s the real deal, it’s perhaps safe to say that they were just hanging out, giving the media something to write about.
