Kelly Ripa makes it no secret that she uses Botox as often as possible, in order to stave off the wrinkles that come with getting over. In a recent interview she gave up the secret, admitting with no shame that her mostly wrinkle-less face is because of Botox.
While many stars choose to avoid the question of using any enhancer like Botox to keep their faces and bodies looking like they are, the television presenter revealed that she uses it “as much as possible” to keep her looking like she does, even topping off if her children spot a frown line, reports The Daily Mail.
The actress turned television personality, 41, stated:
“I work out every day. I don’t overeat. I try to drink water, but I prefer wine, and when all else fails, I get Botox injected right here, right into my forehead as much as possible!”
Kelly Ripa even admitted that she uses her children Michael, 15, Lola, 11, and Joaquin, 9, to gauge her visits to the dermatologist. The Live With Kelly host dished:
“It’s when my kids start asking me if I’m mad at them, and I say, ‘Why do you think I’m mad at you?’ They say it’s because I’m frowning. I go, ‘Oh no! I am? I’ll be right back!’”
Despite her enthusiasm for staving off wrinkles with Botox, her dermatologist, Dr. Brandt, states that he is careful not to use too much too often, adding that he just wants to “keep Kelly looking like Kelly.”
Lime Life notes that Ripa was recently named one of the Most Powerful People in Media, and will be a guest co-host in the coming weeks, along with Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, and Barbara Walters, filling in for Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts while she goes on medical leave for a bone marrow transplant.
