‘Game Of Thrones’ Spoilers: HBO Confirms Jon Snow’s Fate

Game of Thrones fans are counting down the days until the Season 6 premiere on HBO, and everyone wants to know if Jon Snow is really dead. Well, the network has seemingly answered that question for viewers before the show has even aired.

According to a report from Wet Paint, HBO has officially released the episode title and description for the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere, and in the synopsis they reveal the fate of Jon Snow once and for all.

“Jon Snow is dead,” reads the first line of the synopsis, leading fans to believe that all of actor Kit Harrington’s persistence about his character really being gone was true.

Harrington has been trying to convince Game of Thrones viewers that Jon Snow is really dead since the Season 5 finale aired. While it seems that HBO has confirmed the beloved character actually has passed away, fans are skeptical about whether or not he’ll stay that way.

In fact, many Game of Thrones enthusiasts have given the opinion that there will be a story line revealing a way Jon Snow can come back, and that the Lord of Light will likely be involved. Since the title for Season 6, Episode 1 is “The Red Lady,” referring to Melisandre, perhaps she’ll play a part in the resurrection of Jon Snow.

Through the trailers and newly released clip shown on The Conan O’Brien Show, fans can easily see that Jon Snow’s body is being kept inside Castle Black where Sir Davos, former right-hand man to Stannis Barratheon, is guarding the corpse and keeping it safe, but why? Is it so that someone can bring Jon back to life? Fans certainly hope so!

The second detail given by the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere synopsis is that “Daenerys meets a strong man.” This is likely referring to the Khal of the Dothraki army that fans watch surround Daenerys at the end of Season 5. Will this Khal like her as much as the first one, her former husband Khal Drogo, or will they see a former Khaleesi who now has too much power?

Meanwhile, Tyrion Lannister, who has only just gotten into the good graces of Daenerys, is stuck back in Meereen with Varys, Grey Worm, and Missandei. Can Tyrion actually run the city without its queen? All the while Sir Jorah and Daario Naharis, both of whom are in love with Daenerys, are on the hunt to try to save their Khaleesi.

The third and final detail offered about the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere by HBO is that “Cersei sees her daughter again.” Fans who watched the Season 5 finale know that Cersei’s been through a lot, especially since she’s hot off of her crazy walk of shame through King’s Landing. Unfortunately for the Queen Mother, her reunion with daughter Myrcella won’t be a happy one.

Myrcella was tragically killed by Ellaria to avenge the death of Prince Oberin. When Cersei sees her daughter it will be to say goodbye to her dead body, as it seems unlike Jon Snow, fans don’t believe Myrcella will return anytime soon.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, rumors are flying that by the end of Game of Thrones Season 6 Jon Snow will be back in his home at Winterfell with half-sister, Sansa Stark, by his side. What events lead Jon to return to life and to his home with Sansa, who is free of her nasty husband Ramsay Bolton, next to him have yet to be determined. However, one thing is for sure, Season 6 is being called the best season yet, and fans can’t wait to watch!
