Rosie O’Donnell Slams Donald Trump in Surprise Broadway Performance

Comedian Rosie O’Donnell bashed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at a surprise performance at Broadway’s Disaster! show on Thursday night.

Before starting her performance, O’Donnell, ever the comedian, joked that when she was first asked to perform at Disaster! she thought to herself, “What’s the biggest disaster?” implying that Trump himself was a disaster. And thus began her stream of insults against the presidential candidate with whom she has long had a feud.

O’Donnell sang a critical parody of Grease’s “There Are Worse Things I Could Do,” taking shots at the Republican frontrunner Trump in reference to his “Bright Orange Skin,” “comb-over” hair, and “tiny hands,” as well as his foreign policies and endorsements from “the Klan.”

According to Yahoo News, Rosie O’Donnell sang,

“There are worse things I could do, and I’ll now name one or two. These are things he’s said or done, just sit back, let’s have some fun,” she continued, “I could build a giant wall, Mexico pays for it all. And repeal Obamacare, do that weird thing with my hair. It’s a comb-over, it’s true, that’s a thing I’d never do.”

While the audience burst into laughter, Rosie O’Donnell continued further to list things she’d never do, alluding to Donald Trump’s many newsworthy actions, such as,

“Declare bankruptcy four times, tell the Taj Mahal ‘screw you'”

Then, in a crescendo of a finale — to general laughter and applause — O’Donnell delivered the clincher. She sang,

“Everything I’ve said is true, but you know he’s going to say – I’LL SUE YOU”

Rosie O’Donnell’s spiteful parody of Donald Trump’s actions is unsurprising as the comedian has had a history of exchanging harsh words with the president-hopeful Trump.

The most famous incident of the Trump-O’Donnell rivalry and antagonism was during a Republican presidential debate last August, when, as reported by Inside Edition, moderator Megyn Kelly (another of Trump’s rivals) said to the Donald, “You have called women you don’t like, ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ ‘slobs’ and ‘disgusting animals…'” with Trump interjecting, “Only Rosie O’Donnell.”

But Rosie O’Donnell’s fight with Donald Trump goes further back than just last August — the two have been feuding since 2006.

According to CNN, one of their more notable public spats was right after O’Donnell announced her engagement to her (then) girlfriend Michelle Rounds in December 2011.

Donald Trump took to Twitter to take down O’Donnell, tweeting at Rosie that she is a “true loser,” to which O’Donnell responded that he is an a**.

Such minor heated showdowns between the comedian O’Donnell and the businessman and Republican frontrunner Trump have only escalated through the years leading up to O’Donnell’s latest parody song abut her rival.

Things actually seemed to be looking up for the two when O’Donnell suffered a heart attack in 2012 and received well wishes from the businessman, but she immediately shot him down by calling out the unorthodox nature of his tweet.

Donald Trump has repeatedly tweeted at Rosie O’Donnell, calling her “a loser” on many occasions, while O’Donnell has always been happy to hit back.

While their rivalry really has been going on for a good seven to eight years, Trump and O’Donnell have only started insulting each other more in recent times, as evidenced by O’Donnell’s latest parody of Trump’s actions as well as his numerous insults of her throughout the presidential election.

Donald Trump calls Rosie O’Donnell a loser, while she counters by making a mockery of his “bright orange skin,” and his “Endorsements from the Klan.” The O’Donnell-Trump saga continues.
