Nude Georgia Man Crawls Into House Through Doggie Door To ‘Wash Laundry’, Gets Charged With First-Degree Burglary

A man in Georgia has been arrested and charged with first-degree burglary after he allegedly crawled and somehow “squeezed himself” into a Cherokee County home through the doggie door, according to New York Daily News. But that is not even the most bizarre part of the incident. The man, who has been identified as 28-year-old Jared Lemming, was completely nude when he broke into the house.

When asked why he broke into the house while nude, Lemming said that he wanted to “wash his laundry” and “use Wi-Fi” at the house, according to police.

A resident on Cedar Creek Way in Woodstock noticed the nude man attempting to scale his neighbor’s fence and called the police. When officers arrived at the scene, Lemming was still inside the house with no clothes on him, according to Cherokee County Deputy Josh Watkins.

“They made entry into the residence with a K-9 unit, and they located a gentleman in the house. He was completely nude. Upon interviewing him, he said he was there to take a shower and wash his laundry and use Wi-Fi, stuff like that.”

After discovering Lemming in the house, the responding officers asked him to raise his hands. But the Georgia man did not comply with the officer’s wishes as his hands were busy covering his private parts, reported WMAZ.

The responding officer said that he had to point his duty weapon at Jared to make him raise his hands.

“I pointed my duty weapon at Jarrod and gave him one loud command to ‘PUT YOUR HANDS UP NOW!'”

During the interrogation, Jared gave some very amusing reasons for breaking into the man’s house, whom he apparently knew, but “did not want to bother.” Jared said that his clothes smelled like gas and he wanted to “wash them;” therefore he reasoned he had to break into the house. He also said he wanted to take a shower because of how he was smelling.

However, the evidence at the house did not corroborate the nude man’s story. Not only had the shower not been used recently, there were no clothes in the laundry area. Moreover, the Georgia man did not have any gadgets on him when he was arrested, having left his phone back in the truck.

The Cherokee County Police have now charged Lemming with first-degree burglary, reports WSB-TV.

Police said that Lemming used to live in the house but moved out a year ago. The homeowner, whose identity has not been released, agreed that the Georgia man used to stay there but said that Lemming had no permission to be in the house at the time.

This is not the first incident in recent times that a “naked burglar” has broken into a house without the intention of committing burglary. Back in October last year, the Internet was awash with reports of a man, Richard Defeudis, who broke into a couple’s bedroom in Oregon and striped himself naked while the couple slept. Defeudis then crawled into the bed with a knife in his hand and attempted to kiss the man. He somehow managed to evade death, as the man who was sleeping had a gun on him and fired shots at the naked burglar but missed his target.

While police later said that Defeudis had a substance problem, it is not yet known if the nude Georgia man suffers from a similar ailment.
