‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: Jon Snow Appears In New Clip

The Season 6 premiere of Game of Thrones is just over two weeks away, and fans can now see a new clip from HBO that provides some spoilers and shows Jon Snow. Fans have also learned the title of the new Game of Thrones episode that will air on April 24, as well as some of what will happen. There are spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 6 in these few small bits, so let’s review.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth on Game of Thrones appeared on Conan last night and shared a new clip from Season 6. First, Conan said he had heard that George R.R. Martin had told Cunningham a secret and pushed him to share it, hoping for some spoilers. While he did confirm that the author of the Game of Thrones books did tell him a secret soon after they met, he would not be swayed to share it. He joked that HBO snipers sat in Conan’s audience ready to take a shot if he shared any secrets or Season 6 spoilers. Conan even asked him whether Jon Snow is dead or alive. Cunningham remained silent. He did, however, share a new clip. And it does show Jon Snow — as a corpse.

The beginning of the Game of Thrones Season 6 clip that Liam shared is something fans ahve seen in previous trailers and teasers. It’s the scene with Davos near Jon’s corpse, Ghost at his head. Davos declares, “I’ve never been much of a fighter.” He grabs his sword and continues, “My apologies for what you’re about to see,” and pulls his sword from its sheath. That much we’ve seen before. What comes next is new.

We knew from the Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer that Ser Davos stood ready to defend Snow’s corpse, and that this was the reason he drew his sword. The extended footage provides additional spoiler information, as it shows the Onion King united with some of the former Lord Commander’s supporters to protect him from members of the Night Watch who killed Snow. Among them are Ser Alliser Thorne and Olly. The brothers of the Night Watch begin hacking through the door to the room where Snow’s body lays. Davos and his men stand ready to fight them and defend the dead body of Jon Snow.

Fans have also learned that the title of the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere is The Red Woman. One of the many rumors about Jon Snow’s fate is that Melisandre (the Red Woman) would resurrect him. It seems we will see Melisandre in this opening episode of Game of Thrones Season 6, but will she resurrect Snow? Viewers have to wait and see.

HBO has also released a description of the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere. It reads as follows.

“Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.”

Jon Snow’s death is also a given from the clip shared by Liam Cunningham, what is not yet know is whether or not he will remain dead.

Daenerys’s strong man. Who could this be? Someone fans already know? Someone new? Is this a romantic encounter or someone who will help her politically? Or both?

And finally, the last statement from the HBO description of the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere says that Cersei will see her daughter again. Another death. That’s three children Cersei has lost now. All of her children. It would crush any mother. Judging by past clips of Game of Thrones Season 6, she will not go quietly, though. She seems hurt, angry and ready to take on the world. The storyline between Cersei and Jaime is rumored to get even more dark and strange this year as well. Who would have thought that was even possible?

That’s quite a bit for one episode, but this is Game of Thrones. Fans have been told it will be their biggest, best season ever. So. anything could happen.
