Christina Aguilera Fired From ‘The Voice’ After Season 10? Is She Feuding With Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton?

Has Christina Aguilera been axed from The Voice after starring as a coach on Season 10?

Although there have been reports claiming Christina Aguilera may have been booted from her role on the show due to her alleged feud with Gwen Stefani, that is likely not the case, as Stefani won’t be seen on the upcoming 11th season either. In addition, as fans of the NBC series have likely noticed, Christina Aguilera had been alternating seasons on the show, which means she wasn’t expected to return to begin with.

According to a March 30 report by the Hollywood Gossip, Blake Shelton was furious when Christina Aguilera returned to her coaching role on The Voice Season 10 and stole the spotlight from his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani. The outlet claimed Shelton had even previously threatened to quit the show if Christina Aguilera returned, which she did.

While Shelton was said to be upset about the return of Christina Aguilera, he likely wasn’t completely upset with the season, as his girlfriend, Stefani, also came back in the role of his team’s mentor.

Once Christina Aguilera leaves her Season 10 coaching role, she will be replaced by Miley Cyrus, who is currently starring as her mentor. Apparently, Cyrus has no problem getting along with Shelton. As Vine Report explained, both Cyrus and Alicia Keys will join The Voice for Season 11 as coaches Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams will take at least one season off.

Aside from Christina Aguilera’s role on The Voice, the singer also has a couple of other roles. Not only is she preparing for her new series on Spike TV, Tracks, she’s also mom to two children and the soon-to-be-wife of Matthew Rutler.

“They are the center of my universe,” Christina Aguilera explained to People Magazine of her children last year.

Christina Aguilera’s first child, 8-year-old son Max Liron, was born during her marriage to ex-husband Jordan Bratman and her 1-year-old daughter Summer Rain was born in August 2014, just months after Rutler proposed.

“It’s definitely not easy juggling work and motherhood, as being a parent is a full-time job within itself,” Christina Aguilera told the magazine. “You just have to make it work for you. My life has so many different moving parts, but my kids are the center focal piece, and everything else shifts around them.”

At the time of the magazine’s publication, it was noted that in addition to The Voice and Tracks, Christina Aguilera was also working on a news series for ABC Family, now known as Freeform. However, at this point, it is hard to say if anything ever came of the project.

Whatever the case, Christina Aguilera has a full plate with her career and her family, so it is totally understandable that she has admittedly struggled with “mom guilt.”

“It’s hard to know you won’t have all the right answers at the right times. And ‘mom guilt’ is the worst thing ever,” Christina Aguilera explained. “But you have to surrender and let go, knowing you’re doing your very best and no one loves them, or wants what’s best for them more than you.”
