Maria Sharapova ‘Arrogant’ After Doping Scandal, Parties With Models In Hollywood

Maria Sharapova is doing her best not to let the doping scandal get to her mindset. She has been going on beach trips to Mexico and partying with models in Hollywood, but some have been interpreting her way of coping with all the doping drama as “arrogant” behavior.

She’s been putting on a defiant front following the recent furore over her drug scandal and provisional suspension from tennis,” reports Daily Mail. “And Maria Sharapova continued in this vein as she stepped out at the star-studded Snoop Dogg Vogue Party at West Hollywood’s El Compadre restaurant on Wednesday evening. The 28-year-old Russian tennis ace looked low-key but still lovely as she flaunted her pins while exiting the venue after the soiree.”

At this A-lister party, Maria Sharapova looked rather glad to have something that will take her mind off of her doping scandal. Not living in sports gear, covered with sweat and grime, she might be having a moment in her life to reflect on how she wants to go forward with her career, as well as her personal life.

She also has been partying it up with Chelsea Handler on the beaches of Mexico, places that she used to frequent with her ex-boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov.

“The 28-year-old tennis pro was spied living it up in Mexico with good friend Chelsea Handler on Monday, as they continue their sun-soaked getaway,” reports Daily Mail. “Maria, who is in the midst of a suspension after taking a banned substance, looked sensational in a red bikini while Chelsea, 41, kept things simple in a black two-piece.”

Looks like having a mature friend around is helping Maria keep her bigger perspective on her doping scandal as well as her career as a tennis player.

But that doesn’t mean that the Russian athlete has completely given up on her fitness routine. She posted a picture on her Twitter to prove to her fans that she will be more than ready to make a strong comeback once the suspension gets lifted.

Even her sponsor Nike has suggested that they may take back Maria Sharapova once her suspension from doping scandal gets lifted.

“Nike, the sportswear giant, has hinted that it may be prepared to resume its business relationship with Maria Sharapova following the Russian tennis star’s positive test for meldonium,” reports Newsweek.

News like this is probably keeping the tennis player smiling as she continues to train.

But not everyone is supportive of her as she tries to get the ban on her play lifted. For one, Dominika Cibulkova is totally unimpressed by the empathy that the Russian beauty has been getting throughout her entire doping scandal.

“I didn’t make any statement, as I didn’t want to be the only person to openly say what they think about this case,” she said, according to Sydney Morning Herald. “I will only say that I don’t feel sorry at all for Sharapova and I don’t miss her on the tour. She’s a totally unlikeable person. Arrogant, conceited and cold. When I sit beside her in the locker room, she won’t even say hello.”

Other players like Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic have made much more professional replies in response to Maria Sharapova’s doping scandal. Because of the gravity of the situation, not everyone has been open to make statements about the ruling and has been waiting for the official decision to get released by the governing body.

Do you think Maria Sharapova’s ban on tennis will get lifted soon?
