Charlie Sheen Is Under Investigation For Serious Threats On Tape

Charlie Sheen has come under investigation by the LAPD for alleged serious threats made by the former Two and a Half Men actor to his former fiancée. Although this is not the first time the famed Hollywood actor has been in the spotlight for criminal activity, this does indeed seem to be of a more serious nature than Sheen has previously been scrutinized for.

According to a report by New York Daily News, Charlie Sheen is under investigation for a potential felony cause. Although the details of this situation are still developing, it has been reported that the investigation has come after the LAPD interviewed Scottine Ross last week. Ross is the former fiancée of Sheen’s, who has made various allegations against him over the past few months that include assault and battery among others.

At the center of the investigation are the recordings that were released by Radar Online, which laid out some very incriminating statements allegedly made by Sheen himself. The tape was also reported to have been made by a former lover of Sheen’s who had spoken with him after he announced on NBC to Matt Lauer that all of his sex partners knew about his HIV infection.

The cause that put Sheen under investigation is that in the audio tape, it appears as though Sheen had threatened to pay an unknown person $20,000 to essentially have Ross killed.

“This piece of sh** needs to be f***ing buried,” Sheen reportedly said on the tape about Ross. “I’d rather spend 20 grand to have her head kicked in.”

If the audio tape proves to be authentic, then Sheen will face some very serious charges by the LAPD and the county prosecutor.

There was also more on the audio tape that has put Sheen under investigation. Not only did it seem as though he had potentially threatened to have Ross killed, but the audio also appears to sound as if he admitted to lying to his sex partner about his status with HIV, which became public a few months ago and has been a major headline coming out of the celebrity news and gossip market.

“Why did you tell me you were not infected?” the woman reportedly asked Sheen.

Sheen replied by saying, according to Radar, “Because it’s none of you f***ing business.”

This was reported by Radar Online in the form of transcripts, but the audio was not released to their subscribers. But New York Daily News reports that since the report has been made, that puts Sheen under investigation for the threats and gave investigators enough probable cause to get a search warrant on Radar Online in New York to obtain the recordings.

That leads to the next part of the investigation. The joint efforts of authorities across state lines are now faced with determining if the audio tape truly exists. After that, they will have to determine if that was actually Charlie Sheen on the tape making those threatening statements.

So now, the LAPD and other law enforcement entities have officially put Charlie Sheen under investigation for the incident, as a source within the LAPD has confirmed to New York Daily News.

“This is a very sensitive investigation,” the LAPD source told New York Daily News. “I’m confirming that yes, the search warrant was served.”

But the source also said that the tape is only “one of the things” they will be requesting from the search warrant. There is the issue of how Radar Online obtained the tape and whether or not there was any money that changed hands for its release. Then there is the question about whether or not the tape could be authenticated for purposes of prosecution.

There has been no statement released yet from Sheen or his lawyers.
