Kate Gosselin and her brood of 8 kids attended a TLC photoshoot Saturday in New York and while they were leaving, a scuffle broke out between paparazzi photographers and Kate’s security guards.
As Kate Gosselin and her kids left the location of the photo shoot in New York, paparazzi photographers followed them and started getting too close to the kids. They were warned several times to keep their distance but they persisted. While security guards tried to block the paparazzi with umbrellas, folding tables and other objects, Kate and her entourage wisked the kids out of harms way and into their hotel.
There’s no word on whether anyone was injured during the melee, but a witnesses at the scene told People.com that it was a frightening experience and the kids were terrified.
Jon Gosselin, Kate’s estranged husband, was not present when the scuffle occurred.

Well Jon, instead of being there to protect your kids from the vultures, you were dining with someone else. You know Kate will put those kids in harms way just for the next “plug” for TLC or talk show or whatever is there to keep her on the tube. I used to think at least you would protect those kids but no, you proved to be a bigger loser than her and I did not think that was possible. You both make me sick. Kate, now that you know what happens when you take those kids to NY,leave them home. Do SOMETHING for those kids. PLEASE! TRY CANCELLING THE SHOW! That would be a great start. Yeah, right………

I find the whole thing extremely depressing, but of course drama sells and as long as this TV show “lime light” gig continues to rack in the $$$ and atention, the show isn't going anywhere unless Kate is the one to put on the brakes and decide that enough is enough!!! But I fear that is a long time coming. I find it ironic that she and Jon constantly go back to the old “we just want what's best for the kids” routine or “they are the most important thing; we're here for them” when obviosly that is not true. ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS. Despite the media attention and the divorce, they are still a family. They need to start acting like one, and I don't mean on TV!! I also know that they are both probably under a lot of emotional stress, but why advertise your life when it is literally falling apart and make everything ten times worse. The only reason I can see is $$$ not sharing your life with America or documenting your family's life for the sake of memories, or even helping people see that you are like everyone else even though you have sextuplets and twins. These are all reasons we've been spoon fed by Kate and Jon on the show and while it may have been true when they started, I don't see it being true now. After all, who would want to document the pain and loss their children are going through because their parents couldn't keep it together? I don't care how they sugar coat it, children can always see the truth and are much smarter than their parents often give them credit for. I just hope they don't have too many problems later in life because of this whole mess.
